I am trying to adhere to WFPB, but it is a challenge. My family is not interested in a no meat diet. I know it works, I started doing this on 2017 and my health greatly improved. Dear God, give me the good sense to stick with it.

I loved the discusion. I am diabetic and have controlled it by avoiding carbohydrates. Unfortunately plants usually have carbohydrates. I must confess that I would not do well on just a plant based diet( I have tried a whole food plant based diet and it just did not work to control my diabetes, I respect what the speakers are saying and it sounds that the whole food plant based diet must work but maybe not for people with diabetes).

It is very important in the plant-based diet to eliminate oil and eat unprocessed whole grain products, whole grain bread, brown rice, potatoes without oil.

It's so sad to know friends and family members who are suffering from needless diseases, and who all will not listen to your advice, and repair their damage. Many of these people I have spoken with have died, and died horrible deaths. I guess I'll take this "secret" to my grave - so many do not want to hear it. Thank you everyone so much for opening my eyes, ears, heart and brain to the truth about this somewhat fountain of life - I've been WFPB'd since 2018. Good choices is the key. As an example. Yesterday 10-19-2024 I was at the grocery store . In front of me I had a group of young person ( in their early 20) with their cart full of food items and only 1 item was healthy ( water) the rest ( 98% of the items) was not healthy. Meaning. Soda( lots of them with different flavor , meat , artificial snacks, lots of cookies) no veggies at all. Poor young people

Perhaps the dentist also consider other sources especially if the patient is young. Bilirubin could be the culprit. I have seen this. If the dentist can identify the time of initiation of the problem there would be more clear evidence ruling out other causes. I have never seen this problem outside a problem with bilirubin.

In the 1950's Dr. Fred Kummerow who at age 102 still had a full head of hair got the arteries of people who died of heart disease and took them back to his lab and as a biochemist he found all had high levels of a vegan product called partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil known as crisco shortening which was loaded in artificial industrial plastic type trans fats the body could not disintegrate. He did not find butter or olive oil in the arteries.

Dr. Williams claims that GLP-1 Inhibitor drugs increase healthcare disparity. I have to question this one. Anyone who works for an employer (that's most of us) likely has medical insurance through the employer, and even if you have a low-paying job, if your medical insurance covers these drugs then you have access. If the medical insurance doesn't cover them, then the drugs are not covered for rich and poor alike. If people choose not to work or are unable to work, then yes, the meds are likely not covered by the taxpayer medical insurance. But if they're so fat that they need Ozempic, and they're not able to afford it, can they not go on a diet and just lose the obesity? Food as medicine! We are not victims!!

I think that we are omnivors; some of the speaker are obviously very zelous about not eating animals. There are no societies that are strictly vegan. Humans have huge variations in how they metabolize macronutrients. I have no arguments with anyone ,obviously many societies eat mainly carbohydrates, some like the inuit or masai eat mainly.animal products. Interestingly both groups of people do very well. It seems that any diet is better than the highly processed food diet we eat. Keto, palio, vegan, etc. Who cares try them all and monitor your biomarkers

I agree that the chemicals that non vegans are ingesting from the animals that are slaughtered are toxic and affect behavior in a negative way. But it’s also the high fat, sugar, salt content of the meal they’re having that is also doing them no good. It all acts together like a drug and people are straight up addicted to it and will act out if they don’t get their fix. That’s why you see so much ridiculous crime at fast food restaurants. Ppl need to get sober and discover what real human food is.

Why be extremely healthy then end up in Hell? I eat a whole food plant based diet for many years cause it simply is the healthiest... Romans 3:23-28 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
