Been a custom home builder for 30 years. That looks like a solid structure. Nothing that a pressure washer and some bleach wouldn’t clean up. You need to build a cap on those walls and build a solid roof. I’m telling you that structure cleaned up and painted inside and out would be a great place to live. GOOD LUCK GUYS ‼️‼️ Vinny 🇺🇸

Very nice that you were able to use the steel roof panels for a temp roof. Cistern and catching water You mentioned a cistern- assume you will be catching water that comes off the roof. Make sure any roof you catch water from is a steel roof. water coming off an Asphalt shingle roof will have petro-chemicals in it. There are premade inexpensive debris catching devices (they catch and dump the first few gals of water coming down a drain spout to eliminate debris and bird dropping from going into cistern). Also make sure you get an inline UV light sterilization device ($50-$100) sized for your water usage. Run on 120v and kills everything going thru it and can be made to come on only when water is flowing. Filters also needed- just like on a boat. You did save some $s by using those old roof panels, but going forward, new 12' x 27" galv panels run $36 in the states at HD. Prices in PR may be higher. There are 3' wide versions as well. Solar- not that you are ready to add anymore, but for comparison purposes- Signature solar has pallet of 30 new 305w mono panels for $2835 for 9.15KW or 31 cents/watt and 18.3% eff (reasonable efficiency). Not a real deal for you in PR but something to keep in mind when you do go shopping.
