Transforming Turkey Necks into Oxtails

Good day! Today I will be showing you how to make “oxtails” by using turkey necks.
Ingredients:
4lb fresh turkey neck
1/4 cup white vinegar
2tbsp oxtail season
1/2 tomato/ 2 oz tomato
1 habanero pepper
2 small red sweet pepper
2 small yellow sweet pepper
2 small orange sweet pepper
4 fresh basil leaf
3 stalks of green onions
4 spring of thyme/1 tbsp
1 large onion/1 cup
1 cup of oxtail marinate sauce
2 tbsp browning
4 oz corn oil
2 can butter bean
Turn stove on high and sear meat on each side for about 10 minutes. Place meat in pressure cooker with 2 cups of water for about 45 minutes. Finishing cooking meat in the same pan it was seared in. Add oxtail sauce and butter beans to the pan. Simmer on high heat until gravy thickens.

My mother inlaw turned me on to eating ox tails. And they are very expensive. I found a pack of 2 big oxtails for almost $20 bucks. I immediately dropped that sucker back in its place. As a child growing up in Brooklyn I remember how strange the whole tail looked in the butcher shop, but did not have any to eat till maybe 40 yrs later and it was instant love! What I quickly learned was to stop buying them in Jamaican and Dominican Restaurants for I would usually get one or two with meat and the rest tiny ones. I learned to cook them myself instead. I don't know which style is more delicious ? Spanish style garlicy in a tomato sauce, or Jamaican flavored, or American style in a brown sauce.

Have always cooked Turkey necks. I used them as neck bones and white potatoes, since my family didnt eat pork i used Turkey necks a fir about 30 years. Have baked the with just white potatoes, sweet potatoes and made cabbage and corn bread just never ever thought to substitute for oxtails genius. Looks delicious and yes oxtails are why why too expensive 5 pieces cost me 25 dollars. I got to waitbon a link card to buy oxtails. LOL. Great Dinner Chef

I made this today and it came out delicious. I used turkey necks and I had turkey wings cut up. I took the skin off most of the wings I didn't add the beans and no habanero pepper but added a few red pepper flakes because my husband doesn't care for too much heat. With the oxtail seasoning and marinade it was just the right amount of kick. I seared the meat then cooked everything in the crockpot for 3 hrs and it came out nice and tender
