To those who feel misunderstood, unheard or unwanted. You are not alone! You are unique just the way you are. Let your light shine, no matter what the hateful spawn throws your way. Be strong my sisters.

Say her name... Say his name.... Say their name... Could friends here list names of trans folks whom we need to remember this day and every day? 'hoping...! Thank you for sharing this poem on how remembrance can also refer to remembering one's inner self, true self, after being repressed by one's family, one's social norms and one's own self-censorship, Shyaren-sensei... as remembrance is usually about honoring the lives of those who passed away, either because of a hateful act of violence or institutional crackdown by the powerful...! ✊🏽🏳⚧

The notification for this popped up just as I was getting ready to turn off the laptop and call it a night, and I am so glad I left it on for a few minutes more so I could listen to this. Thank you, Shy. I feel so many different emotions right now.

A beautiful piece of art! Thank you for creating, it felt very real. The last 20 seconds remind me of "HRT doesn't solve all your problems, but it makes them worth solving." as you recently mentioned too!

That was beautiful. I can really relate to it. Feeling able to express my true self after 37 years of repression is just to most beautiful thing that happened in my life. It will only get better from now on ❤

When i first learned that being a girl is possible, I broke down in tears. being shut my whole life and being trapped by others as well as myself felt suffocating, and i didn't even know why. Knowing there were others like me saved my life.

Kinda funny how universal the human experience can be when you remove the reasons why and just focus on the emotions, but i don't want to trivialize it to any one so i won't explain. I just find it reliable as a 24 year old kid with ptsd. learning to be happy only started this year for me.

I am a transfem and I started having the feeling about 16 years ago when I was 12. Years later, when I was about 21, I came out to my mother in a letter about wanting to be a girl. This was a couple years before I discovered what that was called and that there was a whole community. I blame the fascist parasite shit stain that has been her husband for the last 45 years. And "fun fact," when I was about 3, they had even made the decision to have a divorce. Then the younger of my two older brothers said "adults work it out" having seen that the adults had already worked it out. For some reason, that saved the marriage and my brother who said that line 100% regrets ever saying that. And I absolutely agree because I believe that if they had gotten that divorce, I would have come out much sooner and would have been who I really am for at least a dozen years. Actual Fun Fact: my oldest brother is gay, and my other brother is bi/pan. The lives of the four of us would've been much better if that shit stain had been removed all those years ago.
