That is the problem. All psychologists and psychiatrists follow the western guidelines. A few years ago west has “depathogized” transgenderism, which means they don’t consider it a psychological illness anymore. They say that this is a normal human behavior if someone feels trapped in the wrong body. That is why they don’t treat it anymore. They provide what is called “gender affirming treatment” which means the psychologist tells them that they are right about their feelings and everyone around them is wrong. Their parents and the entire society is wrong about telling them they belong to the opposite gender. There is not much scientific proof behind this ideology. This is more of a political thing in the west and Pakistan is blindly following them. Now when educated people and senior doctors start spreading this ideology, just imagine what will be the impact. Very very unfortunate.
