Don't blame you for welding up the new chassis leg as it makes it stronger as most of if not all is tack welded I use lidi the flux wire is cheap £4 do use it on small bits of body work and its good says my gas its comeing along really good you doing a great job 👍

quick question are you using gas on your mig as those welds should look a lot cleaner and smoother than that ?
@NicksGarageUkАй бұрын
Yeah using gas,, what welds are you talking about? All of them?
@graham-martin5847Ай бұрын
@@NicksGarageUk pretty much what kinda welder you using and what gas are you using
@NicksGarageUkАй бұрын
My welder is relatively cheap and I use co2,, it will weld new steel perfectly but introduce halfords weld through primer and hydrate 80 and it doesn’t like it,, especially when joined to the old steel,, It is however fully penetrated and strong and I would rather that
@graham-martin5847Ай бұрын
@@NicksGarageUk get some hobby weld argon co2 mix you will notice a massive difference trust me you will be shocked in the difference and I always run my mig on full mines an old transformer type not a new modern one I've had it over twenty years but still welds spot on
@NicksGarageUkАй бұрын
I have used it but I do so much welding at the moment it costs a fortune and doesn’t make a considerable difference
