Thank you so much, now I'm finally able to put the belt on again (one roll broke and it came off, so I didn't know how it was before) I tried every (im)possible way but had the one on the down left wrong the whole time. Thank youuuuuuu!

My Transit has a similar problem but no where near as bad as this one. I have replaced the Alternator, the belt and the top middle Idler Pulley and i'm waiting on a new Belt Tensioner to not get lost in the damn mail. The noise is coming from either the belt tensioner or it's pulley wheel or the one above it, not sure what that is though?

Does anyone know a trick how to get the tensioner down enough to put the belt on? I can't move it the last half inch to get it on...

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you stating you have pulled out the internal components of the OAD pulley and want to put them into a new pulley can?

@@Litens-Aftermarket I have a Ford transit mk7 2.4 rwd I have gone through 3 belts now trying to find the problem I have changed the pulley tensioner, power steering pump, crankshaft pulley and when I drive 2-3 miles it shreds off again my mechanic had the alternator off and thinks it’s not that and apparently the pulleys on the water pump rarely go. Any thoughts people!??

@@Leyla20232 Hard to fully diagnose this without being at the vehicle,,, but..... Depending on the model year, there may supposed to be an OAD on the alternator. If that OAD is worn out and locked up or has been deleted for solid pulley , or substituted with OWC , this could be his problem. All FEAD component pulleys would also need to be checked for alignment and correct number of grooves.

i changed the tensioner pulley bearing and its stop for 2 hours then back again . can you help please

We never recomend only changing the pulley bearing. Generally, the internal components of the tensioner have the same life as the pulley bearing and thus the entir tensioner should be changed.

Absolute shithouse engineering from Ford.. replaced my tensioner..and last week watched my crankshaft pulley fly off across the highway coming home..aftermarket pulley much better engineered. and cheaper
