You shocked me with those hibiscus roots. Wow. Praying it will be fine As for your tulips... I feel your pain... though I usually feel it in my wrists more than my back. Still have lots of planting to do too... I must not lose heart with that. The beauty of planting bulbs is they come up in Spring like a breath of fresh air. I find it a bit frustrating that not all nurseries or perhaps bulb producers say whether they bloom in early or late spring. They are good about the height etc., but they seldom mention that, which I find makes it very hard to plan. Looking forward to seeing the results of your hard work. Stay healthy!

Plenty of growing space for us two, I have plenty to share with my two kids & other family. I’m guessing your transplants will be fine especially for your zone, I’m in 5a, S Wisconsin, I’ve got a hydrangea to transplant but I’m waiting till spring, we had about two weeks of fall then boom, right into winter, got a big storm coming Tuesday into Wednesday. Hope that hibiscus comes back next year. Totally understand how you felt when you took her out. I have a question though. I live I zone 8b. I have a few little limes in nursery containers. Can I still plant them in the ground? Is there any difference in transplanting them from grounds and planting them from containers? Thank you so much!!
@rebeccahill66425 жыл бұрын
Its warm enough where you are that they should be fine. Getting them in the ground is usually preferable over containers. They will be better protected in the ground. I'm in zone 5 so I buried mine in a pile of mulch to protect them. Crossing my fingers until spring. 🤞🏻😁
@GardenAddictz5 жыл бұрын
Vanessa Varghese you can keep them in your containers. Your area is much warmer. However, if you feel more comfortable you can put them in the ground. There is only 1 difference in my opinion, transplant plants are more established (more growth on the roots, somewhat established) plants in containers are contained. So there is a chance the transplant might be damaged depending on the time of year you move it.
@vanessavarghese15975 жыл бұрын

miraj906 when buying bulbs, I always look for “naturalizing” bulbs. Those ones always come back yearly and multiply. Not all tulips are naturalizing.
