When watching trailers like this, you can expect a few things: -That this particular director will give you something as to how the the story and narrative is going to play out which means there’s more than meets the eye. -That the director will most likely do a cameo in it like he did in some of his recent movie projects he had done or has his family in it somehow. -There’s a psychological or emotional aspect and twist to the movie so it’s not just an ordinary movie. -The twist is going to deal with the title and how it’s often taken out of context so it brings in the audience to think outside the box. Like in this case I’m getting that maybe the main character is actually a schizophrenic or super paranoid so his inner thoughts are getting the best of him or maybe he is dealing with a loss and all of this is just figments of his imagination or a “trap” to gain control of his personalities. Just saying. Overall a great movie idea and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.

Okay all real M. Night Shyamalan fans will know that in the extras on The Sixth Sense DVD, he explained that he used red to signal that Dr. Malcolm Crowe is actually deceased. I understand how other films have used red but if we are in M. Night Shyamalan’s world, then I’m leaning more towards this being a kind of mental prison instead of the obvious ‘Trap’. If he uses red to signal something that isn’t obvious to the viewer, it makes me feel like this isn’t going to be a typical killer just trying to evade police (which is obvious).

The daughter being the killer is just a red herring cause its too obvious. Firstly they are clearly making it seem like the dad is the killer meaning he's obviously not so the next logical choice for a twist is the daughter but thats just too obvious. The daughter being the killer is also just a red herring, there's something else going on. I really dont think the daughter is the killer cause its way too obvious, even watching the trailer you can tell they are obviously painting the dad as the killer so you instead think it's the daughter because psychological thrillers work so good because the watchers think they "figured out the twist" The basis of a physiological thriller is: Im gonna make you believe that you connected all the dots and figured it out cause you're so smart. Then boom everything you connected was completely wrong lol. So daughter being the killer is completely wrong cause again its a trap set to make you think you've digured it out

The village was great. The twist wasn't huge but still satisfying and I remember being gripped thought the whole film.

The interiors of the arena are in Hamilton, but the majority of the stadium exteriors are the Rogers Centre in Toronto

This looks pretty good. You called it when you said it's a mix of good and bad. When it's good, it's so good.

I recall on the commentary of the 6th Sense, M Night loves using the color red on the set, typically an object, when setting up an tense scene

Red in The Sixth Sense was used to symbolise the spirit world and its influence upon the real world. Every time you see red, a ghost trapped in limbo either accompanies it or appears shortly thereafter. Shyamalan is probably putting his extension of the Unbreakable universe to rest or, at least, off to the side and now is looking to expand upon The Sixth Sense, which honestly, I'm surprised he hasn't done sooner. I firmly believe Trap is extending The Sixth Sense universe and opening the door to more projects with Cole as a focal point.

This is the ONLY movie I want to see right now the trailer is captivating on so many levels. Firstly, the premise is simple, I think film makers make the mistake of over complicating the narrative in an attempt to attract interested like Christopher Nolan's approach. The danger is that people do not want to be invested in the narrative they want to invest in the emotion which is clearly illustrated in the trailer. The emotion and limited dialog with space that allows the opportunity for great character acting is what is being displayed in the trailer and I am hooked already...it's that effective! Hanging Out for the release.....

The twist will be its a sequel to 2010’s Devil, and instead of being of trap in an elevator the Devil as the lead investigator has trapped him in the concert

That would be so dope if they were able to keep that part secret!!

What if the twist is…. There is no big twist. Hear me out, Shamalyn is known for his third act twist that changes the entire perception of the film. Sixth Sense, Bruce Willis is dead but doesn’t know it, Unbreakable, Elijah Price set up the train crash at the beginning and so on and so forth. After the trailer, audience will go nuts with the theories and predictions. It’s his daughter! It’s a secret sequel to another M. Night film! He’s actually a cop! Etc. but what if we go in and it turns out what we see is what we get. Sometimes there isn’t anything other than evil…. I’m probably totally wrong, but it’s an idea haha

Twist, Josh Harnett is suffering from multiple personalities, and one of the personalities is trying to help the police, but since they arent the dominate personality they can only leave bread crumbs. I believe the first line in the song, reveals it all, and Josh Harnett is truly trying to save himself from himself.

No matter the track record Shamalans movies are one of the few directors I always check out just to see what the big twist is, even if it’s shit I’m still curious 😂

The whole concept of catching a serial killer at a concert venue full of people is insane. It doesn't make sense because they don't know who it is. So, the fact that they are willing to put everyone's life in danger makes me think that they might torture people in order to find the butcher. So the twist is the hypocrisy of trying to find one killer while actually killing people to find the killer. I mean they obviously aren't concerned for the people's safety right? It's about setting a trap to find the butcher. So, what would make him confess? His daughter being tortured? Himself being tortured? but how many will they go through before they get to him.
@CommonSenseLiberal7 ай бұрын
I think they are going to keep people there for an insane amount of time in horrendous conditions (extreme heat, no food or water, no bathroom) to try to get him to confess.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to give this one a shot. I used to think of Josh Hartnett as "discount Brad Pitt" (the resemblance was greater when he was younger). But he's proven himself to be a formidable actor with an unnerving dark side (see the _Dark Mirror_ episode _Beyond the Sea)._ Shyamalan has redeemed himself, too, by proving he's in this for the long game. He fought through some bombs, tamed his ego, and came out smelling like a rose. Good on him.

"Somewhat disappointing" is a ridiculous understatement in regards to Glass. He butchered what could've been a truly brilliant finale with a garbage and hollow twist that doesn't hold up.

I hadnt thought about it til now but with the use of red i thought about the cell. What if they are inside the mind of the killer trying to find the victim

Here's my 2 theories... Either the daughter is the real killer or the Dad is gonna turn the "trap" on law enforcement and the concert goers... (Might explain everything he does around the place) And escape scot-free.
