Actually this is a useful video because it well illustrates how the shooter must read the direction the bird is flying. There are very few 'straightaways', if any. What might appear as straight is either left or right. Always read the direction, left or right, by glancing at the background during flight.

I have found this and the previous video very helpful I tried the higher hold point using both eyes and found it better in several ways . Less gun movement and I shot the birds better because I think the gun was in a better position compared to the bird when I fired now to make it automatic thank you

Your videos are very worthwhile, and have taught me a lot. Regarding a Shotkam, do you have any videos where there are MISSES, analyzing why the shot went astray?

Many. We immediately delete them :)

Question for Two eye shooter what distance do you hold about the trap house ?Thanks

There is no set rule I am afraid. It depends on the weather, your skill level, how your shotgun is set up, your reflexes, background and how the targets have been set.

Good info! So i am a one eye shooter and held low for many years, now i hold high like you show for both eye's but still using one eye. It seems to work but just wondering if i am missing something?
@GoShooting2 жыл бұрын
I would be concerned if you held too high with one eye closed you would have a blind spot underneath your shotgun from where your hand is on the forend

Interesting how the shotcam/muzzle placement seems to be so far from the clay when the shot goes off.

So you shoot the straight aways below the target and not above?
@GoShooting3 жыл бұрын
yes, b ut with a shotgun that has a high point of aim

What’s the point of impact on yours?

@@GoShooting think the shotkam retical needs to be adjusted. Almost all those shots seem to have been either parallel or below, as you fire. I found this was happening with my shotkam too, it seems to show a different point of aim when static as opposed to when moving, tracking a target. I adjusted mine to appear high when static, but far more accurate to my point of aim when firing on the range. Otherwise it is giving people a false indication of where you are actually aiming as you pull the trigger.
