Have you ever researched your origins? Your surname is quite rare and it's from a famous and important noble family in Trapani. Some of them were italian patriots and Enrico Fardella also fought in the United States leading a regiment called Fardella of Union troops and was appointed general by President Lincoln. A statue of him is in New York.

Hi Mateo e Micha! Love your videos & I have learnt so much from you! You both seem to be enjoying yourselves everywhere you go too! One feedback comment - when Mateo introduces Palazzo Cavaretta (town hall) of Trapani, Sicily, he says the clock on the right of its facade is the oldest astronomical clock in Europe. I think he means the astronomical clock on the Torre Oscura which is located next to the town hall - this IS the astronomical clock which goes back to 1596. However, he can't claim it to be the oldest astronomical clock in Europe because the astronomical clock located on the Old Town City Hall in Prague's Old Town Square is much older as it was installed in the year 1410. Hope you don't mind the feedback........Cheers, Steve Y xxx 😊❤

I read some where that Trapani is famous for red coral productions.. I am thinking a lot of the red coral decorations (around 17:57 mark) in the Pepoli Museum pieces were produced in Trapani.... :)

Great video! We will be there in May. Can you give me an idea of the aggravation level of traveling with the new covid protocols?
@TheGlobalExpats2 жыл бұрын
Thanks John! 🥰 The covid protocols are to wear a mask everywhere, and they check your vaccination card before entering most places like restaurants, museums, etc. The rules might change by May though, so be sure to keep an eye out for any updates. We’re sure you’re going to have an amazing trip! 🤗🇮🇹

Hey guys, I'm visiting trapani next month. Just wondering if there's any free parking in the city?
@TheGlobalExpats Жыл бұрын
Hey, yes there is as on the majority of the roads, however, there are certain times that you aren't allowed to park on certain streets due to street cleaning so pay attention to the signs with the days of the week and times. We hope you have an awesome time! 🥰
