This is an extraordinary story of the Maragoli of Uganda. In mid-western Uganda, Kiryandongo District, Bunyoro sub-county, lives the Maragoli people of Uganda. How did the Maragoli find themselves in Uganda?

My grandpa used to share with me stories of our people in Uganda (kigumba) and as a Maragoli I really love to dig deep into this matter.I'd really love to visit our people their and atleast here this stories from the horses mouth.I'm so elated that my own clan (avamaavi) is there too.keep pushing the agenda one day you'll be recognized as a community in Uganda.

As a maragoli born and circumcised in Kigumba, I feel short changed in this capture of your journey of discovery prof and by the way David Ndoli was my classmate from nursery to P2(primary two) in Jejja Primary school, the son of Muhehe. There is a lot to discover about our Maragoli family in Kigumba. Thank you for highlighting them on your channel, this rekindled my childhood memories.

Thanks so much for this detailed information about the maragoli tribe. One thing that has left me guessing is why you refer them to a mysterious, Trapped, and stateless while you have clearly explained their descend and reasons as to why they are in are scattered to various places that you have mentioned. I appreciate this well researched information. Thank-you.

@artatheart5700 Жыл бұрын
to be aware there is nothing like maragolian coz " an " is a surfix put on a nationality. maragoli is not a nation so we can not add "an" . eg the people of mongoli speak mongolian and mongolians, people of uganda speak ugandan, etc

These must be the the original chwezi people...
@NyakachKabodho5 ай бұрын
The Chwezi were Cushitic in origin, they assimilated with their bantu subjects. Their descendants scattered to Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC. The Tutsi are allegedly said to have derived from one of the royal families.

Maragolis are children of Jacob in the bible, the curses have not ended. We need to come back to our father for redemption.

Caxton Nyahela We love our Maragoli brothers but mentioning only the Kisii and leaving out the Banyore your analysis is incomplete.The Banyore of Kenya ,the Bsnyole of Uganda and the Banyoro of Uganda,who are hosting our brothers in Uganda are very close cousins.You have to also indicate the fact that above all else we are the Luhya community that lives in Western Kenya and Eastern Uganda.Our brothers are part of the Luhya people that live in Uganda like Samia,Bukusu,Bagishu and Banyole.Our Ugandan Luhyas, especially the Banyole can be of great help to the problems of the Maragoli in Uganda.Iam sure they are very much willing to help.

There is no way maragolis can be 4 million. My considered estimate is that there nomore than 750,000 maragolis in total. Remember there are only about 300,000 in Vihiga which has the bulk of the maragoli population. Please do your research properly.

If we go by DNA, Maragoli could be 6millions. Thika, Nyahururu, Pemba, Shiraz, Sweta of Migori among many other Lost sons and daughters of Murogoli.
