6:33 If Knight F6 then bishop takes f7, then use your knight to take the e5 pawn forking the king and bishop, not only do you win a pawn but you expose the king, after taking the bishop your knight (which is defended by the knight) you can castle and open your rook to the f file and generate a devastating attack. Just make sure you probably defend your pawns in the centre. Even if you don’t have a successful attack you can still convert the position into a winning endgame.

@agrawp you play Bb3...keeping the bishop safely on a strong diagonal with blacks king in the center he may try to play Bxf3 (top engine move) but just play Qxf3 and enjoy your bishop pair and the lack of co-ordination of the blacks pieces. Cheers!

Sir Igor, the most problematic is that the black queen is aiming even the scholar check before the light square knight moves at the very beginning and ravages the pawn and rook and later the Black bishop joins diagonally to kill the Whites and continuously checks in this manner unsettles everything Do you have any solution for that? My solution for the specific scenario is such that I have to play Dark Square Knight before I play Light Square Knight to protect my central pawn. However, i am searching for a better solution. plz help me!

I wouldn’t play caro like this as black and against the fantasy there are better moves. Usually looking to trade off the the white bishop so u don’t lock it behind the pawn chain but against the fantasy u would challenge the center with the e pawn to open the dark square bishop and attack with that check as well as the queen on that diagonal

@GMIgorSmirnov So which is it... against the Caro Kann, should we go with the fantasy variation as you suggest in this video or 3. Nc3 as you suggest and layout in great detail (with multiple lines depending on how black responds against 3. Nc3) in the video linked below. You're saying how awesome one response to the CK is in this video and how awesome this other response is to the CK in a different video. For people who want to do what you would do, because they think you're super smart (like I do), which Igor should we listen to... 3. *NOPE* I tried the Maroczy Fantasy and had TERRIBLE results. When I started confusing the Mieses variation with the French Diemer Duhm I was playing, I INSTANTLY started kicking something like 70% butt WITHOUT STUDY! Not as many players are falling for *1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. Be3 dxe4 4. f3 exf3 5. Nxf3 Nf6 6. Bc4 Bg4 7. Bxf7+ Kxf7 8. Ne5+ Kg8 9. Nxg4 Nxg4 10. Qxg4 Nd7 11. Qe6#* anymore, but I'm STILL 50:48 against an opening I was never able to beat at all before using it. I like the Mieses. Opponents can DECLINE the Maroczy. I do HIDEOUS when opponents decline gambits, especially against hypermoderns. OTHERS have great stats with the Maroczy, but not me. It doesn't focus on f7 like the Mieses and I live for fried liver attacks.

slightly manipulated. at the end (where you claim check mate coming soon), all the black needs to do is to attack the white pawn on E5 (via black knight on D7)...then white pawn on D4 takes that knight, but the other black knight takes that pawn) and attacks the white knight at the same time. That combo will open a new situation giving black a clear advantage (white king will be getting checked within few moves and will be wide open soon)...definatelly a losing situation for white..:-)
