Hey Group, This is a bit off the primitive survival path, but we thought we would do some early trapping to start the season out. The Survival vids are in the works as well as prep for the Wooded Beardsman's arrival in early May. Get ready. Bre has roughly a month left before she heads to a BSA High Adventure Camp as staff for the summer. Not sure we'll have time for any more collab vids with her until late July. We appreciate all of the support and encouragement that she has received and I wanted to express my sincere thankfulness as a percentage of the revenue that these collab vids make go directly to Bre's college fund. Without this amazing KZbin community and my Patreons, it would not be as possible. We're filming every day now, growing s jungle out there. Much more to come. -until Next Time, Bob Hansler

At first, I thought it was so cool that your dog was watching your every move because I had a pup/companion that did the same thing...always looking for a queue as to what we were going to do next. Then I paid closer attention and Bob, your dog looks bummed out watching you pour that food into the crawdad traps. I hope he got a nice meaty treat when you all got home.

Son.. your parents raised a good man! I am old now but in my youth I was an avid outdoorsman (as they call us) I prefered to live in the woods rather than spend the weekend drunk in a bar in mogadishu (as we used to say) It was grand that I found your site.. To remember all the crawdads eaten and all the snakes caught over my youth. all the endless summer days fishing in the river or swimming in the ole swimming hole.. and the big rope swing into the river.. The three day hikes through the woods of Oregon, all the old settlement buildings and foundations I found deep in the woods..The mine explored... Dang... you have made this broken old many young again.. even if it was only a short time... and for that I thank you...

When I was a kid..... 40 some-old-years ago, we were camping in Missouri on a small tail water. At midnight we went out, flash lights and poker sticks in hand and caught pounds and pounds of crawfish the size of lobsters. A boil followed and I was hooked. Thanks for a walk down memory lane. Just about a month ago, I took my 18-year-old son on a bush craft overnight. No trout to be seen so we feasted on crawfish. Anyways.... you earned my respect, my subscription and we wish you the best.... Ps .... as you can see from my pic, we also feast on snails. Cheers, MG..... the Snail

You have a lovely daughter! I loved hanging with my dad when I was a teen and younger. She is very lucky to be learning all your survival techniques with an expert. I have been teaching myself for 30 years with more head knowledge then hands on. But I can make a small quanset hut bending branches and weaving. Can gut and skin most animals, and can brain tan a deer hide. At 66 I am in hopes I can teach my son many of my skills. He has high function autism and it’s a new level of teaching survival, but his life when I’m gone will depend on it. Every parent should include dirt survival skills as basic knowledge. It is kind of hard to compete with computer time! I hope Bree can teach others her skills also. I know this is a older video, but I wanted to comment.
