I am so glad that these are still on KZbin to watch...I love going back and watching videos about species that I don't have here in Oklahoma...The Schaubs seem to be a great bunch of guys that I could probably spend hours and days talking to...well I could do the same with you and Sandi also...haha..thanks again for sharing your videos

Another great show, my favorite episode this season. Those wolverines are tough cookies. Hey Rich, I subscribed to your sponsors magazine "Alberta Outdoorsmen", and am not disappointed. Finally an outdoorsman mag. with quality paper, not too many ads, and even articles written by the man, Rich Mellon.

Is there an episode where the particular dimensions, etc. of those bait/fence/pen sets are described. I bought fence to use on my Alaskan line, and I'm chomping at the bit to get them in and get them right.

Very good info for the trappers tip of the week. They talk about these sets really bait stations , do they have a Martin / fisher set near by and a weasel set near by because of the bait drawing all animals to the area besides Wolverine and lynx? I think that’s what I would want to do. Also what fur do u have on your head ? Otter possibility ?
@TrappingIncTV5 жыл бұрын
It depends of course on the set but lots of times I cluster sets together. Most often a lynx pen next to a marten set. My hat is just plain old beaver and so warm!

Why are you guys do not use trail camera to see mechanics of the actual trapping moment and animal behaviour just before it is caught to understand and improve odds?
@TrappingIncTV4 жыл бұрын
Oh we try but it takes luck or a camera on hundreds of sets. Add to that the animals know the camera is there and it affects their behavior.

What's your best information to get out scent from a conibear 330? If I let it sit in willows for awhile will the scent come off?
@TrappingIncTV5 жыл бұрын
There really isn't anything that you would set a body grip killing trap 330 for that is steel shy. I don't do anything for scent control but setting out would help I'd guess.

I'd so love to tag along in person, watch, listen, learn, experience, help, talk banter etc =] I've never seen any of the species in person that you're catching outside of videos & photos! - Australian

Well mate you have a few critters there that we never see as well! LOL What everyone doesn't see is the hours and days of work that never make it to the TV screen. Sometimes in a fierce 2 week cold snap nothing will move and for several checks I'll just be driving by empty sets.

@OutdoorQuestTV4 жыл бұрын
@@johnwilkening5262 up here we start with a road-killed moose or deer. We snare off of big bait piles. Obviously the winter and our conditions makes foot holding a crazy man's sport.
@johnwilkening52624 жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorQuestTV I try to do the same with road kill but the coyotes would rather kill for that fresh blood taste I actually am still running footholds it's tough but waxed dirt and wax paper makes it ok haven't caught many but I keep trying lol
