Throw away say, designed to run for only so many hours. Bushing bearing crank, better saws are roller bearing and seals. When these wear out they run lean and blow up. This looks quite new. Most likely fixable. Hkmelite use to make lifetime saws.

It's a Two stroke. Previous owner left bad gas in way too long. I predict he will clean up the reed valve and it will work decent but not perfect. I used to shop garbage cans every spring for weed wackers and do this

Reed valve? Chainsaws have transfer ports either open or closed.

Just clean the carb broski. New carb is 10 bux on Amazon for one like this. My old Mac that's like new needs one but they want 30. Damn. It's a kit though. Sat with shit gas so long the tinily ports n the carb won't clan out. And don't get gas. But he fuel pump portion the diaphragm is pliable.
