I cheat with windows - I glue the clear plastic (cut slightly oversize) on the inside ... does not have to be so precise in size and saves time trimming. Then use your glue and glaze (I use Microscale Kristal Klear which is similar) to flood the window from the outside. Great job on the restore - will remember your crank handle method.
