Favour tokens won't work vs malifaux rats - they can only be used by a model, and rats make the player discard a pass token. They're more useful to spend instead of a real pass token when an enemy ends their activation within 8 of Youko Unseen, imo.

Can you really attach an upgrade to Zeng? I thin it’s retainers only

It seems that way at first, however, if you look at the reliquary Upgrades, the "new guardian" Action does only specify friendly models, so you can attach those upgrades to whatever. it Costs an additional ap, and you need a retainer to give the upgrade to in the first place
