😭 I’m fighting for my sanity with the complex ptsd. My whole life fell apart I’m loosing everything as I can’t financially sustain myself. I’m constantly battling jitters n have panic disorder. It’s a mess n the fight doesn’t feel worth continuing to fight. I need to be a sugar baby or something so I don’t have to worry about bills
@marwajaafar1941

I would advise instead of sugar babying (bc I’ve thought the saaaame thing fr) start watching videos about Tibetan Buddhist meditation.. just center on a speaker that makes you laugh and you can relate to what they’re saying..and take their advice. I don’t say this to shame you, I promise, it’s just I am worried for you that continuing to solely focus on financial needs (which are obviously Extremely Relevant) will just push you further into being hurt and feeling oppressed and exhausted and wtv else. Again, not saying don’t do that, really just saying - whatever you do, find some form of meditation that works for you. Everyone “meditates” in their own way the hard part is finding someone to explain it in a way that clicks - once that happens, (which KZbin makes way easier than any other period of human history previously) - you will find a sense of calm and peace and *strength* that will enable you to more than resolve your financial issues or whatever else. My 2 cents 🤝🏽 I hope you listen. Bc I genuinely do feel you. This was the only thing that truly helped me. And i allowed my focus to be pulled back into money, success, personal relationships- and I find myself unhappy, unbalanced, and panicked once again - and looking to find my way back. Best of luck love ❤

It is good that you are in therapy most people can overcome ptsd with help of a therapist. The biggest problems accur if people are not realising that they have a problem and don't do anything about it so you are alread a big step towards healing. The biggest problem is that psychologycal problems are often times talked down in our society even if they are as normal as pysical injuries and they can be threated and there is not shame in talking over them :)

*Waves hand* I have chronic PTSD. I’ve been in therapy for 2 years now and I only now feel like I’ve been noticing really big improvements. I’m grateful for that, but its definitely a worse before its better experience. I’m thankful for my kick*ss therapist for sticking with me and genuinely caring. I think I’m still relearning that, as humans, we need people who love us to care for us. Learning to live like that is so hard but I know it has to be worth it.

Hey, I've been through countless major traumas and have PTSD as well. I'm on my journey to kicking PTSD's behind myself. There are a LOT of options. Its about finding what works for you. Here's some: -Trauma focused therapy/counseling (which can include therapies that help for trauma including EMDR therapy, biofeedback, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, DBT, gradual exposure therapy, and more.) -Medications from a psychiatrist (which can help the symptoms you struggle with while you do the other things to heal) -TMS therapy (Google it because google can explain it better than I can. My sister had it done for anxiety and depression and it helped a lot. It's supposedly good for PTSD as well. And almost zero side effects.) -Psychadelic therapy or ketamine treatments: May include psilocybin in very small doses (the compound found in "shrooms") called microdosing, ketamine treatment under a doctors care, and I've heard of some using DMT as well. -Alternative therapies like horse therapy, art, music therapy, etc. Which i HIGHLY recommend. -Outdoors and exercise help as well -Virtual Reality therapy (basically exposure therapy in a safe environment that you can take off if you get overwhelmed) -Many many other methods of therapy to help your brain re-regulate itself I'm not sure what type of traumas you've experienced, and some therapy methods work better with different traumas, but all of the above will help greatly. The #1 thing I recommend though is working with a good psychologist, therapist, and/or mental health caseworker. They'll find you the resources you need that will help you individually the best. Wishing you healing, peace, and good mental health. Let me know if you have any questions 💜

I'm a 27 years old man. My mind is in so much pain. 2 months ago, in an extremely distressing and painful emotional situation, I hit my head against the headboard of my bed. Now I have a minor cut on my forehead. People can't really notice it but I so much wish it fades away over time. It has impacted my self esteem quite negatively. All the time, I am conscious of myself. Every morning I wake up and get scared by seeing myself in the mirror. I repeatedly keep on asking myself questions like how could I do that to myself. But believe me, that moment was emotionally intensely suffocating and stressful for me. I wanted to scream alot to ease my pain that night but did not wish to disturb my parents.

I'm not sure if this exactly counts as trauma but when I was a teen I had a best friend who turned out to be a piece of garbage that abandoned me when I came down with the flu. Cause I might have exposed them to the flu. I've heard from so many people to just get over what she did and that sometimes people are weird, but it's hard. Every time I see her face or someone like her all of what she did floods back to me. Maybe it's because it's only been a few years since what happened but I'm not sure. What she did goes beyond ghosting and ignoring me because she also spread rumors about me, and left me to deal with a person that was toxic, and was also bringing down my reputation. It also didn't help in the middle of all this that we had what we thought was an active shooter in the school, but thankfully it just turned out to be a kid with a bb gun who was just making threats. However, everything got stressful because of this and I had what I can only describe as a panic attack in one of the school's bathrooms. Thankfully after cutting both of them out of my life my mental health has improved. However, I still struggle with a feeling of anger and memories of what she did any time I see a person that looks like her or is her. I’m thinking about maybe getting some therapy so I can talk through these issues; especially since some people around me have suggested that it might help, but I'm not sure if it even counts as trauma since other people in my life say I'm just being dramatic and that sometimes people are weird. Anyway sorry about dumping out my problems; just curious to see what some other people thought.

I can tell you from personal experience, to truly help someone who is living with this is the hardest, most selfless act you will ever commit to. You have to realize the seriousness of the role you play. It is very easy to cause your ex more harm than good. Every thought, word and action must be thought about very carefully before hand. You absolutely have to have an unconditional love and understanding for this person. You cant get in your feelings or take anything personal. You must make this person feel safe and secure in all areas at all times. That means allowing this person to be 100% themselves without getting upset, hurt, argumentative, opinionated, firmly disagreeing in away that allows them to perceive they are wrong or in trouble. Treat them as if they were just starting out in this word as your own child. Always, always remember to never say I understand, can relate, now how you feel or offer up a story about a time something happened to you. This really applies to everyone we interact with. If you really think about it logically, none of us knows anything about how things experienced by another individual is perceived and received. Each persons perception of reality and the feelings that go along with the experiences are unique. If unconditional love, kindness, thoughtfulness and servitude were the only characteristics we show others as we crossed paths with them, there would be no darkness in this world. It would be absolutely perfect.

CPTSD is trauma that has happened repeatedly. Could be a traumatic event in childhood that lasted over a period of time of a long lasting traumatic incident that happened later one in life. Or multiple single traumatic instances that happend over the couse of time. (years) That was my version of trying to explain the proper medical definition. lol I hope that makes sense and answer your question.

I have CPTSD and DID from extensive childhood trauma. Finding help is SO hard. I've done DBT, I have endless coping skills, but I can't seem to find someone who can help with the healing part. EMDR is insanely triggering and sends me into horrible spirals and I want to find another option but whenever a treatment trends EVERYONE learns that and nothing else. It seems like every therapist only knows how to do CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I'd like to try IFS and Somatic therapies because I think they'll help me more but NOBODY does it and the people who do don't accept my insurance!! :( its not fair that my healing is reliant on what my insurance covers. At this rate I'll be suffering forever simply because I can't afford $150 per session when I need weekly session. I'm on SSI, only get $600/month. tf am i supposed to do here? :( edit: sorry for ranting, I'm just so frustrated with the mental healthcare system and the scam that is health insurance. I just want to heal and feel human again.

I think there is no such a thing or incident spesifically described as trauma... Things happen and some weak individuals convert it to trauma Just like cancer inclined organisms... That is not to say very bad things are easy to overcome..

Everyone has ptsd now. Everyone. So all the ptsd people can listen and have empathy for all the over ptsd people. It is ridiculous. I am sick of ptsd. It was the real deal when soldiers came back from wars with ptsd - they went through bullets firing around them, often not knowing if they would see the morning, cold, wet hungry in ditches with rifles shivering and being ready to jump out of the ditch at any given time. Running for their lives. It was understood they would have re-occuring shock and many would not get over it. But now it's people shouting from the rooftops to anybody who'll listen they they have ptsd. I am so sick of it.

Awful explanation to say the least. Dude makes ptsd seem like a flu that anyone can catch. It’s something that is developed by an situation that was extremely dangerous or a lifestyle you didn’t want forced on you that was abusive in nature. (Long term) it’s become a word to victimize yourself. Which is terrible considering the fact it’s a real thing that only happens when the brain goes through something it otherwise couldn’t or shouldn’t have handled. Stupid people say I’ve got ptsd because my dad yelled at me. No you have anxiety.
