Travel Day by Ferry, Foot, Train, Bus and Car…from goodbye packing issues to hello surprising motel!

As full time travelers we transition to a new place cheaply if we can. This nomad travel day had some stellar public transportation except for the bus we almost lost. From packing mistakes that had us digging through our Osprey 40L Transport bags with their awesome wheels, to a gorgeous early morning ferry ride from Waiheke Island, NZ, to Auckland after a tasty breakfast in the ferry terminal, then on to an InterCity bus that we needed AirTags to keep track of. We were sure surprised by BK’s Rotorua Motor Lodge with its comfy recliners, kitchen and double spa tub!
