If everything has limitations, travel too. This is absolutely right that has gone unnoticed 🌨️☁️

I think you sound very reasonable with your views on taking a more mindful perspective when travelling. ‘Perfect ‘ is the enemy of ‘good’, and that comes through in your suggestions on how to be more aware of our travel impact

Thank you 🙂 that's what I was going for! I agree, I think if we all take small steps we can all contribute to a better world but it's all about doing what we can 🌏

From the cosmic perspective, you are an insignificant spec of dust and the sum total of the consequences of all your life's actions is zero. Do whatever you feel like, the universe will not remember.

I do understand this argument, but I also think when we all work together we can be part of a change 🙂

If one happens to subscribe to the philosophy of optimistic nihilism (I am not saying that you, personally, do subscribe to that philosophy), we can derive an impetus to live and travel in ways that minimize negative impacts on the planet and other people. If ‘nothing matters’ due to the universe’s apathy to us, this means we functionally only need to worry about enjoying our time in life. If we expect to be able to enjoy our lives, it follows we should act in ways that do not detract from others’ ability to enjoy their lives. I think it’s interesting that the umbrella of nihilism can lead to two opposite interpretations of how we should live - the only question is which of those interpretations resonate most with each individual. Much respect for your perspective, which I think has validity. But thought I’d provide an opposing view that is still based on the same assumption that the universe doesn’t care about me, and that nothing actually matters.
