But they do mention that they were paid late in that night after the actions were taken. But bottom line is. If your suppose to be paid at 6pm ... anything after is LATE and subject to late fees. If anyone of us owes money to a company, corporation, bank, loan service, loan shark, hell even the library. A late fee is assets and we as people should to be allowed to do the same thing when it comes to our boss and our pay checks. PAY FULL ON TIME or pay what we feel is the equivalent of the debt in damages.

As a working class man of the UK working outdoors in all weather for a multi-million pound company for minimum wage I can tell you all for a damn fact that this was caused by way more than just 600 quid. The lad has probably been doing 14 hour shifts six days a week with no breaks for a boss that threatens to sack him for needing a piss. Get him on the tele to reveal exactly what is going on in the UK right now - massive companies trying to take every penny out of their worker's pockets every day. I myself have been docked a full hour's pay for *NOT* taking a break because I was never given enough time to have one and have seen co-workers not receive pay for any over-time they worked all because of one single lazy manager who couldn't be arsed reading the punch cards and based the pay on flat contract hours. @@leesheridan3631 Not so simples as a delivery driver. Usually my break, which the company decides when I take, not me, is around half way through my 8 hour shift. Sounds ideal, right? Except they base their delivery times on picture perfect driving conditions and cram as many deliveries as they can in to each hour. Toss in some roadworks, a car accident, railway crossings or even simple bad weather and it all starts eating in to my drive time. By the time my break comes along I'm either already late so have to use my break to play catch up or I spot an error in their planning and realize the next delivery is a 25 minute drive away. As I said they decide when I get my break, not me, so one way they get us to work 7.5 hours straight is to put the break after our last delivery. What's even the point? They are legally obligated to schedule a break in the shift but there's nothing telling them that it must be mid-way through, or actually give us time to have the break to begin with. All they have to do is make it look like they scheduled it. That's just my usual 8 hour shift. I've seen lads go 14 hours in some of the UK's worst storms without a break. As for downing tools and taking the break regardless. I have done before, and it's not worth the abuse from angry customers or getting dragged in to an office to explain why you're 35 minutes late to a delivery.
