I like how he sounds so unsure of how to pronounce his own last name. Also I'm ashamed how long it took me to realize that his celebrity camping guest was Dirk Gently. I'm sure he's probably known for other things in the U.K. but I'm from the U.S. and only know him from Dirk Gently. Or maybe that's a compliment to his acting in that series that I didn't immediately recognize him when he's not in character.

This show is such a great time capsule of that period in the early-mid 2010s when companies were just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what stuck. It was legitimately such an exciting time for tech and it's kinda sad that nobody's doing shit that's so daring and bold again. We saw LG doing 21:9 tvs! NVidia had a hand in the handheld market at one point and put out the Shield! It felt like we'd be reaching a sci-fi future with the advent of 3D printing at first.

Okay, I get it. Richard is playing a character here. And he's putting together a lot of different technology that actually is not supposed to be used together. I have been an outdoorsman, camper, fisherman all of my 46 years. And to be honest with you some of this stuff actually looks cool. He's making it all look like stupid infomercial crap just because it's the character he plays. He plays a character that has a plethora of phobias. You understand that right? He downplays the actual legitimate benefits of some of these items because of the character he plays. That's all this is. Of course you shouldn't use the tent he used and the sleeping bag he used together. You would literally suffocate yourself doing that. I've been a fan of his, Richard's, up until now where he is just making actual good inventions look stupid because he is playing a character.
