For mosquitoes: I spoke with a nurse in Subsaharan Africa that said the only thing that worked for her was Sawyer Picaridin Lotion (Not the spray). She told me that the other nurses were using deet and other products that weren't working, but she stayed safe. For U.S. peeps, this can be found at REI

Great tip! In my totally anecdotal experience, it seems like different things work better for different people. And sometimes that can change in different areas that have different species of mosquitoes. It is a challenge for sure, but trying things like this can be a good idea to see what is going to work best for you!

Mosquitoes are a pain! That is why there isn't one thing that works for everyone, we all have to decide which tools are going to work the best for ourselves and do the best that we can to stay safe and healthy. Good luck! 🙂
