Just realize another thing I admire about Gabriel and his channel. Whether exploring the icons of a classical renaissance city or the rural hinterlands of a little-known country, he brings the same genuine curiosity to understand what is before him.

How does Gabriel not have more subscribers? He makes videos almost every day of the year and his videos are always genuine and interesting. Maybe the KZbin algorithm? This is actually a question I have so if anyone knows a potential reason feel free to respond to this comment.

He doesn't use clickbaity titles, like 'American travels to world's most dangerous country' that's quite a big one. He also doesn't sensationalise his experiences which one also commonly sees. He has his own style and that works for him, I've been watching his content for many years ...

Maybe also because he has / films fewer social interactions than a lot of the big travel vloggers. Personally that's one of the things I love about Gabriel as it makes him more relatable to me! As somewhat of an introvert I'm more of a "places person" than a "people person". Makes for a very different travel experience than someone like bald and bankrupt for instance.

I loved that last castle, some of those walls were so high, I wonder when that thing was built. Just imagine trying to scale those walls 1000 years ago. I wish you had of spent a little more time in the "deep, dank woods", as that gives it a true historical perspective, and you can almost feel the history of the place when modernity is subtracted.

Hi Gabriel! Wow Georgia is so beautiful and mysterious... love those mountains. Since I see that you often visit churches and chapels it would be nice and kind if you left a few cents to the money box that is usually there where they sell the candles (if you don't want to buy one). It's not mandatory but it shows respect. Looking forward to your next country!

The chapel at 44:33 must have been a dearly loved, intimate chapel, as a home for the soul in deep spiritual worship. It has a very intense and deeply loved feel to it. Thanks so much for these images, Gabriel. ~ K Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland has a similar feel as this one. I can only wonder if Templar influence produced the precious little jewel in your video here.

Those open minutes of the video, swirling around the chapel..the music and then, in your own unique style, panning around to yourself. Love it! Hello Gabriel, you always show us places that perhaps no one has visited before, thank you. Georgia is like a place that has been forgotten by history. As for the icon which was in the church, it is Saint John the Baptist who is depicted in some Orthodox icons as an angel to symbolize his status as a divine messenger. The word Evangelos in Greek meaning angel, and you could see the head on a plate so even people who do not know the angel status of John the Baptist would know that it is him.

I think the tunnels aid movement of goods ..its the Georgian military road ...and only one still with active border control.. ..The tunnels are there for avalanche, mud slide and snow to help with traffic.....Georgia in process of billions of euros being spent on new roads..... Some of those spooky buildings/churches remind me of the movie The Keep...very unique style ...

@YesSirPhil Some places are touristy for a reason, and Gabriel is always good at getting out of the tourist zone and showing what else a place has to offer. There are lots of less trodden trails on the island. I hope you aren't dismissing something when you haven't even hiked the trails to make a judgement.

@@emma.adaptingthecommute4507 you don't seem to get my point or can't accept it. We both have different opinions and that's about it. Fact is that Madeira is touristy.

No worries, I agree it's touristy. I was just making a suggestion based on my experience, which I hoped others might find interesting. Each to their own for sure. Pretty much can't go wrong with Gabes content either way.

I've wanted to go to Madeira for years, also the Azores. They both look amazing. Hopefully one of these days.

Hi Gabriel, that is some experience driving across the mountains and they do have cable cars I didn't see that when you were going to Stepantsminda. A vast area that's growing and changing from when the Soviets dominated the area. You can see why Russia wants these lands back to annex all of Eastern Europe to increase power and might. Any entrenchment by the West is a threat to Russia. Many of these countries are leaguing up with NATO causing a bitter confrontation on the Russia front. These border disputes are going to get uglier and cause greater unrest because many of the older disputed borders are still unsettled.
