Travel during covid times has been challenging to say the least, especially when it comes to visiting family. I was very excited to see my Dad after almost a year of being apart. I flew from Calgary to Saskatoon in one of the coldest months of winter, but I will say it was 100% worth it. In the video my Dad and I give you a bit of tour of the lovely city of Saskatoon. While I would recommend visiting in the summer, there are a lot of great places to see and a lot to do. Hope you enjoy the video! xx

Alina, I am glad you got to see your Dad. He is such a beautiful and loving person. He reminds me of my Dad. Unconditional love every step of the way. Parents are such a blessing, they remind us what is really important in life. Paka, paka Alina.

Parents are the rarest fruits in this world. Update: I couldn't resist expressing my feelings. The luckiest of all are those whose parent(s) are breathing. Love them, hold their hands. Live with them and express your feelings to them. Once they are gone, all left are precious memories and endless regrets.

That's up to you. The effort you put in raising your children will always be rewarded. I've never seen a loving daughter or son with a parent that didn't invest emotions, time and money when they were young. Trust me on this, if you love your daughter and invest time in being with her, she's going to be fulfilled, will take the right decisions in life, and will love you as much as you loved her for ever and ever. Spread love = Receive love.

NICE Alina! I remember the last video you shot with your dad, you were on the property where you grew up, maybe it was about a year ago but I'm not sure. You said at the end of the video you'd make more video in some small towns in Saskatchewan, I can't wait to see that! The Indian food looked yummy, it looked like it was food for three people but if I ever go there with someone else, I'm sure there won't be any leftovers. All the best to you and your dad. Make sure you make him some company and don't waste too much time online. He'll appreciate it. I wish my dad was still around.

Alina, Visiting your mom and dad's video was great thanks for sharing! I remember both of last year's videos off to the side here on my laptop screen! Man time flies by quickly! LOL Even though to me seems so long ago in my real struggle and organic farm tragedy! Wish my highway looked like your streets sand spread for winter weather events! Nothing applied as public safety issues and ignorant people in my state, county, city! I have never been to that region before but I have been to Canada before years ago! May return someday on a future vacation! Be safe!

Hi Alina! Fabulous memories! I loved the tour of Saskatoon - my home for 3 years decades ago, and my first home away from my birthplace, Montréal. I lived just north of the U of S campus on Osler Street. I miss Broadway, walking downtown aross the bridges - during the non-winter months, especially. I've been back to Saskatoon only once since graduating. Your video made me feel like I was coming home again! Thanks!!! It was nice to see your dad again. @@AlinaMcleod I loved my time in Saskatoon, as well as my discovery road trips with friends throughout central Saskatchewan and northern Alberta. But winters could be brutal, like the polar vortex we are now experiencing. One year, we had overnight lows below -40C (-40F) from New Year’s Day to mid-February. I have loads of great memories from Saskatoon! Not having a car, I walked many kilometers on both sides of the South Saskatchewan River.
