Very informative and detailed like no other videos about flying from Tj to Mexico City. I just learned and got a real good idea on how to go about on my next trip to Mexico City. After watching your video and based on the information that you provided us here with, my choice would be Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City. Thank you so much.

I think right now Benito Juarez is still the better option, maybe later when AIFA gets the train it will be better, but AIFA is still not connected very well. Thank you for visiting.

You are a story teller. I like all the “little” key points to look out for! The narrative and how this video was edited made it very easy to follow. At times I felt as if I was one of the travel companions, lol. I’ve never been to Tijuana, and at times I even caught myself saying “slow the car down a bit in case we miss the exit, or turn”😂 But I was clearly able to see every thing you kept pointing out to be in the lookout for! 😬 I’m going to watch your other videos now, thanks for all the tips! 😃 Safe travels!

I liked the Aifa a lot but is not bigger than the AICM …the latter one has 2 terminals and around 80 contact doors in both terminals while AIFA I think 18
@pedrozatravel3 ай бұрын
@@CGohStudio AIFA land looks a lot bigger than AICM, but it was very apparent only a third of it was being used . You are right there are not a lot of gates, but I think that is because very few planes go there. I saw space 30 gate terminals, but we were the only plane in a gate. My guess is they are probably only using 18 at most, no need to open the other gates right now. It will be interesting to see how it goes as more airport traffic goes to AIFA .
3 ай бұрын
AIFA has 45 parking positions, 17 of which are in MARS configuration (can serve 2 narrow-body aircraft or 1 wide-body simultaneously). He disembarked from platform 109 as seen in the video. And yes, AIFA is way bigger than AICM (1500 hectares vs. 800). Biggest airport in Mexico after Cancún Int'l, considering land surface. On august 2024, Felipe Ángeles Int'l had +600k passengers, around 20k daily. It is on the brink of 4 million this year, doubling figures of 2023 and making its way to become the sixth busiest airport.
@pedrozatravel3 ай бұрын
Wow , lots of information there , thank you, I could tell right away it was a big airport.
@CGohStudio3 ай бұрын
Not so sure about that.. AIcM has two terminals … with many more physical doors ( not remote but puerta túnel) AIFA has been built with only half of the real project … one wing And well the number of operations and passengers matter … So it doesn’t matter has more land than AICM f it doesn’t have the airlines and the passengers
3 ай бұрын
@@CGohStudio AIFA's main goal (at least right now) is desaturate AICM by moving operations gradually, within a 10-year period. As of today it serves half of the country's air cargo, gets all charters and has around 180-200 daily commercial operations between landings and takeoffs. It is a focus airport for Viva Aerobús, it will be the main hub of Mexicana de Aviación and maybe next year long-haul routes will have a place here, as long as Tren Suburbano finally completes. You can search for Francisco González Pulido opinions about the project. Aside from changes in materials and execution, the airport is complete as he designed it. Phase 1 (2022-2032) considers 20 mpax/year with one terminal. Phase 2 (2032-2042) will add a second terminal right next to the current which doubles in contact positions and passengers served. Phase 3 (2042-2052) will add two concourses on the northeast side of each terminal, also the need for a fourth runway and maybe a satellite terminal along the control tower could be considered. Mexico City airport system has been redesigned to distribute people between three terminals: AICM, AIFA and Toluca. Because of this, our city has a total capacity of 70 mpax/year. El Insurgente and Suburbano to AIFA trains have this in mind: decentralize movement of today and future passengers.

They built a couple of highways to make it faster to get there. However, we need more regular bus services and the suburban train. The suburban train will get you from Buenavista station at the downtown to the AIFA in 39 minutes. There is a lot of political polarization between people loving and hating AIFA. AIFA was one of the flagship projects of the AMLO administration.
