The day that I got to travel alone like a local using a bus heading to Sri Lanka's sacred city of Anuradhapura. I had a very nice encounter with an old lady trying to interact with me. Small interactions with different locals are my favorite experiences when I travel. As I got to Anuradhapura, I was surprised to know that the family that I stayed with had upgraded the room that I initially chose to book :)

In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveler and KZbin creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveler, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on KZbin, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.

Amazing! Hope you enjoy Anuradhapura. It's certainly the magical city of Sri Lanka. Best to travel around would be using a bicycle. Also be sure to visit all 16 historical places. A lot of mystical places to visit if you have time.

Kandy is also another beautiful and historical city in the Central Hills of Sri Lanka. The world famous tourist attraction, The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is in Kandy. I have never been to Sri Lanka although few of my dearest friends were inviting me to their beautiful country. Watching this vlog is truly inspiring and I hope my dream to visit Sri Lanka would come true soon! Beautiful. I've been to Sri Lanka back in 2015. I spent a couple days in Columbo and Hiriketiya beach near Dikewlla where we did ayahuasca ceremony. I had the same problem with the annoying tuktuk drivers. And I have to say, even as a 200lb 6ft tall guy, i felt a little uncomfortable when a bunch of locals approached me at the beach one evening wanting to take selfies with me. I could tell they were high on something. But in general, people there were really friendly. And Sri Lanka is really beautiful. At least back then it was much less crowded, developed than Phuket. Also, less hotel choices.
