Hello everyone, welcome back to another video! I have recently been getting messages and comments asking why it takes a long time in between uploading videos. By a long time, I mean 3 to 5 days after each video. I guess we are so used to receiving free and available content to consume at a fast speed in this online world. Yet, we neglect, forget and often misunderstand what process goes behind making each video and how long it takes just to edit a video to create a coherent story. I publish videos earlier for an exclusive preview to Patreon membership. If you wish to join the Patreon family, you can consider supporting through www.patreon.com/syifaadriana. You may also consider supporting this channel through www.paypal.me/asyifaadriana if you think this video has benefited you in some ways. Nonetheless, by not skipping the ads, you have also indirectly supported me to keep creating more videos for you :)

I've been there two times, and each time the dynamic was very different. The first time it was like mid 2010 (or late 2010), where the remnants of war were still there. The roads were still broken due to bomb blasts, no rest-houses and the existing houses still had bullet holes. My second visit was two weeks back, and the road is smooth and SL has developed quite a lot. It's amazing how the soldiers endured in the scorching sun in the war. They were brave, brave souls, indeed.

Syfia you made me cry with joy too. The first time I was in Jaffna was 52 years ago and the last time was this year. The welcome on both occasions was unforgettable. Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is so lucky that all of Sri Lanka is peaceful now. Our coach got to Jaffna at 3.30 am or 4 am and the hospitality was warm. The boys that greeted us immediately knew that I only spoke singhala and they immediately tried hard to speak singhalese. It was heart warming. I need to learn to speak and understand tamil- the oldest language in the world. Thank you for your amazing filming

Syifa you are a breath of fresh air to travel blogs. Sri Lanka is my home country that I left 46 years ago. Moved to Canada and the USA. Watching your video did bring back fond memories for me too, as we were in Jaffna May 2018. The new railroad system was just opened a few days before. The city was very beautiful. The citizens of Jaffna are proud to showcase their town to the world. You are one gutsy girl to travel the world by yourself. God bless and pray for your safety. You should be proud that you have the opportunity to travel as it gives you knowledge of other cultures and see how people live in many parts of the world. This promotes understanding and nurture how we have to live in peace and harmony as humans. You should pass it on to your family. Sri Lanka’s culture dates back around 2,700 years. Enjoyed your documentaries. Keep up the good work. Mano. W.

Those very friendly people you met on the train, who invited you to sing songs and took selfies at the Jaffna train station are Sinhalese travelling to the north from the south, probably on holiday. The station you passed in 9.49 in the video is 'Elephant Pass' was build / Reconstruced by the generous financial contribution of the The government /semi government school children who were schooling at 2008/09 under 'Nothern Spring' project. (I was also donated from school 🤣) Thank you for visiting Sri Lanka.🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰

Hahahahaha.... After watching this video till the end, one thing came to my mind; you were on 3 & half hours train journey but you have summerized it to 12:57 minutes journey😂 It's truly interesting! Anyway, I viewed every aspect of your journey and yeh, we do have sometimes flush of emotions traveling alone in an alien location. I also went through such moments in my life. But you are a smart and brave woman I have ever seen. Almighty will always be with you... God bless you Syifa sister. Lots of love from Nepal.

Ummm.... But I do have good knowledge of video editing. It's not everyone's cup of tea. It takes lots of mental and physical pressure out of our skin to edit a video. Forget about time consumption, every minute aspect has to be garnered and pasted to make a video attractive plus informative.... uffff.... You're super woman! Hats off to you.

@@cebs2070 So so true!! I still struggle a lot too to battle with that mental pressure to even start the editing. Hahahaha omg I love how you understand the pain of video editing.

A beautiful journey within a journey! The coverage in this episode is so refreshing! It looks to me that the people you come across are the most beautiful part in this episode! What a friendly and lovely people! Secondly, a strong and pure heart was talking to us at time line @9:30. Perhaps, for you it is an unintended emotional burst out, but for us, you really touched our heart. Hey come on, you are "Healing or Curing" and that's what the meaning of your name. Isn't it? A person content with or resembles meaning of a name which her parents proudly named after their beloved baby almost 30 years ago! In fact what you have in your heart is nothing but the greatness of your mom's womb, where you took your first breath. Mother's womb is most sacred creation of God, where you were loved, cared, nourished in a most safe manner! You were a prayer for your parents and such prayer will continue until their last breath, wherever you are or whatever you do! You got such immense blessings from which one would never be able to measure in any forms other than you! I'm sure that you are aware of it. So, when we come to certain point of time in our journey to life, such emotional burst out is obvious and natural. It happens in a fraction of time! On the other hand, an emotional flush out is good to recharge ourselves as well! The fact is that, you could have taken this part as personal and kept hidden, but you couldn't. Which shows the way how you treat your viewers. It is possible only from a heart which is strong and pure. A great heart.

I highly recommend you to try the train trip from Kandy to Ella. It is considered one of the most scenic train rides in the world. Take reserved seat tickets in 2nd or 3rd class because non reserved wagons are full as its the adems peak hiking season. Me and my wife love watching your videos. Enjoy your time in our paradise island !
