I'm stumped. You set the bar so high with last week's episode, yet this series keeps getting better and better. Beautiful. During the recent live Q&A you had said Lost & Found is a "proof of concept" for bigger sponsored projects in the future. If this series is proof of concept, then what was "A Summer adrift"? Was that you finding out for yourselves if that, i.e. longer series, is something *you'd* have an interest in doing?
@BoundForNowhere2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question Theo, so thank you for that! I think that I'm wanting to do something"bigger" in the future with something like this series. Summer Adrift actually happened kind of on accident. We had the footage and realized, after the fact that we could make something out of it. This time, we knew we could make a series, but we wanted to push ourselves from a creative and quality standpoint. With Lost & Found it feels like our skill set is finally catching up with our ideas. If that makes sense. What I love about Lost & Found is that it dives into the ideas behind why people travel, and what that sparks inside of us. It's one thing to go to a beautiful place, but there is so much more that is happening to us as we explore and learn about the world around us. Those are ideas I want to explore on a larger scale.

My wife and family will attest that the world shuts down for my "Alaska" shows. This series has become a part of that repertoire. The cinematography and narrative easily rival commercially produced shows. Have commented before and will probably continue to say that photos and videos are awe inspiring. I'm very surprised that you don't have a million or more subscribers, but on the other hand, I kinda like being a part of small group of folks watching this grow. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.

Thank you for the great video. My wife and I are moving to the Kenai area early next Summer. By the way, to open the sealed lid of home-canned goods, first unscrew the threaded band part of the lid, then with both hands, hold the jar and the band in such a way that you can use the outer bottom edge of the band as a prying lever to lift the outer edge of the sealing part of the lid. Once you break the seal, lifting off the lid becomes easy.

Maybe it would be better to name the episodes after the bigger picture of what you are doing, like “Alaska Road trip, heading into the mountains” instead of the more activity based focused titles “fishing in Hamlet Lake”. I assume a lot of people might find the first style of title interesting and tempting. This is a theory and feedback that comes from love of watching your great videos. Love from Denmark
