I was travelling to Bda from Yaounde and paid 6k for ‘VIP’ and they put us in a coaster. One guy even said he would rather pay 10k for VIP and actually be put in a good bus that respects time and doesn’t stop often. People think there’s no market but there are people willing to pay for good service. How much did your ticket with Nso Boys cost?

Thank you, we will pay for VIP. The issue is most people don’t want to send their good buses on bad roads so all vip buses end up. Imagine sending ur bus and it is burnt on the way 😅😅😅😅. I paid 6000frs using Nso boys

Oh my goodness! Ashia for that horrible travel experience! I saw something the other day that said only 10% of the country’s roads are paved. I’m not sure how true that is but it made me so sad! We are a tropical country, and one of the wettest during the raining season. This puts so many people in danger!

I’m sure it’s true, to be honest. Let’s not forget that roads include those that branch off from the highway into neighbourhoods. The only neighbourhoods I’ve seen in this country with paved/tarred inner roads are areas like Bastos, Bonapriso, Bonandjo, but I can’t think of any other area that has tar branching off the main road, talk less of in Bamenda specifically. Yes, that roadside meat is cholera-ic for sure! 😂😂 But it is a risk I decide to take every time because it’s just too yummy to resist! 😋I pretend not to see the flies that sometimes go back and forth between the street garbage and nastiness and the meats, or the poor hygiene of some meat sellers. 🙈

When you guys reached that babadjou area, it made me remember when we got blocked on that road in 2019,, especially during the rainy season,, it's bad,, as from babadjou, the roads are only to be praying GOD, Even when I am travelling from Bamenda to Yaoundé,, when we cross babadjou road, then you really thank GOD, because it's not easy, even the drivers have heart, We just need tarred roads!

the babadjou road is a simple problem that can be solved by the local councils by just throwing gravel / laterite on that stretch of road during the raining season. simple solutions are very complicated for us africans. you will see people lament at that stretch of roads including the mayors of those localities.

That's how it's always,, whether you are leaving from Yaoundé, Douala, beau or Bafoussam to go to Bamenda,, it's not always easy , especially when you have to enter Bamenda,,. Glory be to GOD for your save journey🙏🙏
