@@withlovero Just a small correction, it's more like 100 Yen is about 1 USD. With current exchange rates, it's a little different, but for easy math it's simple to use this conversion instead.

We need more people like you! It was an inspiring insight you put together alongside the leading narrative on travelling as a Muslim. A topic that is very little covered. You put a block on the commercial narrative that it isn't all 'show skin and express a fake narrative of a luxurious lifestyle of the rich and famous'. Honestly, thank you for putting this out sister. You've inspired me to start my journey.

I had the same feeling my first day in Japan: Golden light of the setting sun. Shadows dancing around the inside of the quiet train, on faces, luggage, empty seats, as it weaved its way above the city. The blue sky like home, but gazing below, the familiarity swiftly ends--the excitement of adventure begins. It's nice that Japan has become more and more Muslim friendly (it's really all about getting more tourist $$, but I'm not complaining!) Konbu onigiri is one of those small things I miss about Japan...a couple of those + a tamago sando (egg salad sandwich) was my go-to convenience store lunch. I thiiiink I went to the same halal ramen place. I'm not much of a foodie, but that ramen was sooo enjoyable (and worth the long wait). And I forgot the name of that brother in the masjid (I believe he gave the English khutbah...and the Turkish imam gave the Turkish and Japanese khutbah...anyways), but he was really nice to meet. Nice to know he's still there. I met a number of people who knew more about Islam than I expected in Japan. I do not know the common conceptions (or misconceptions) of Muslims and Islam in Japan, but being my first time there, it felt like a really warm welcome. (I also thank my Japanese teachers for giving me foundational understanding of manners; they go a long way). Nice to see your videography capturing the experience, top quality as always. Looking forward to the next ones!

in the name of Allah the most mercifull. (sure Al-Infitar) When the sky breaks apart And when the stars fall, scattering, And when the seas are erupted And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. No! But you deny the Recompense. And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, Noble and recording; They know whatever you do. Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

@withlovero4 жыл бұрын
A little bit of both. I had a general list of sights to see, large attractions, foods to try, but as we went along, I grouped things by location and timing and made loose plans for each day, day of. If we couldnt get to something one day and still really wanted to, we'd make time for it later, and we also allowed ourselves to simply walk around and explore however we felt fit the day, which made our experiences better.

Yes so we ask prior to or check if there is a label.
