It has come to our attention that many have allowed the word "Chashu" affect their judgementation on whether the product is Halal or not. Be assured that the "Chashu" here is made of chicken, as witnessed from the production team. Please also understand that the term "Chashu" does not strictly have to be pork, and is simply a name to keep it as original as possible. As unbelievable as it may be, this "Chashu" is made with chicken.

Cha-Shu means Forked Roast in Chinese. People are so used to associate the term with pork that many mistaken it for a pork product. Bacon is a salted and smoked curing process with fatty meat, but also presumed to be pork as well. When you really understand the name, you'll realize the food association is a social attachment. I go crazy whenever I take a friend to a Buddhist Restaurant and they still ask "Is this meat?"

I'm Christian but I have many Muslim friends and I have always been surrounded by the wonderful muslim people. Visiting Singapore made me realise how friendly Singaporeans are. Many religions living together. Living in europe is hard for muslims to find good halal places. When I went to singapore i was so happy that a lot of places (even fast food chains) were halal bcs it made me think of my friends and how happy they would be to eat without having to worry if something was halal. Next time, after covid, I will visit with my friends! Love & peace

Actually most of the task is the restaurant manager responsibility (been in the line of work, so I'm familiar with the SOP).. It's usually applied at franchise restaurant where they have QA check in every 3 months.. The results must passed the threshold set or you will face the consequences such as salary cut, extra working hours.. Therefore we must check the cleanliness of the restaurant, the staff work, the food taste to ensure they follow all the SOP from HQ.. and of course help out service crew and kitchen crew.. But I must say, we did not have 1 step where he clean his cloth with roller, I'm amaze by that..

His comeback is as swift as a samurai's strike: zero hesitation, deceptively gentle yet dead accurate. Moral of the story: if a boss were genuinely honest with himself, then the staff would be confident enough to be honest with him. The trouble with a lot of local bosses in Singapore? Experts at 'tai-chi' & never leading by example so, if you're gonna be full of 'wayang' then it shouldn't surprise you when your staff is also an expert at plum pudding your balls instead of getting you actual, tangible results.

@@onLYbyM prices range from 10 plus to about 20 there? Depends on what you get. I really like their seafood ramen. It's darn good, the broth itself is good. I prefer that compared to the tomato broth option. Oh, and they have a newly open outlet at Arab Street, literally right outside of the Sultan Mosque. So far, I've only tried them at the Paya Lebar and Arab Street outlet and I'd say it's good. Best to go for their ramen compared to the donburi as I feel that's what they're known for and I tried the Donburi and it was just alright, nothing amazing. But, recently, I tried the seafood ramen with the seafood broth and it was good though if I'm not mistaken, it was around the $17 range, but it's definitely worth it, especially if you are looking for a good halal ramen option.

He greets the customer cheerfully, helps the staff to serve their customer, do the manager job desc, etc. He never cross his arm and be bossy around his staff, in fact he did a better job than any native manager imo. I mean, we have tendency to slacking off when we are abroad and nobody is from our country, but Japanese people bring their professionalism everywhere. Ate at this restaurant before and man, the ramen was good. They even had different levels of "richness" to the broth which you can choose. Amazing, I so totally wanna go back after this circuit breaker ends.......

Very thankful to him for opening a halaal ramen restaurant in Singapore. I didnt expect to find a good ramen restaurant that used halaal ingredients. Fortunately I camr across this one. It was my first ever proper ramen experience and it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in or visiting Singapore

In Poland, the city of Sopot I paid for Ramen soup, instead of pork, they give beef sirloin and raw mushrooms 1140 yen. We Poles love Japanese cuisine and I think that someone should come to Poland from Japan and open a real Japanese restaurant. Thank you to the cinematographer for a great film :)

I wish they have a branch in the Philippines. I have Muslim friends and when they come visit in Manila, it's really hard to find restaurants that are Halal. A Singaporean friend came over before and I wanted to introduce her to Filipino food but there's no Halal filipino restaurant. It's why I sometimes think that I want to open a Halal Filipino restaurant.
