I remember trying to swim there on Playa Zicatela, the waves were so big they would hammer you if you went 75 feet from shore. They closed it to surfing it was so dangerous.

Enjoying your videos. I've been going down there for surf trips and going back next week. Not sure what month you were at Zicatela but the waves looked small so I'm it was winter. However it gets MASSIVE waves there in the spring and summer. If you didn't know or have not yet seen just google Zicatela surfing and you'll see some HUGE waves and absolute Hellmen surfing them. (Hellmen as in a compliment, like a totally fearless surfers... and for the record I am NOT a Hellman, haha. Those guys are unreal)
