I went to Pittsburgh in July '05 with my older brother on our way to Canton to see the Pro Football HOF. My brother died that December. But the memories of going to Primanti Bros, Heinz Field, the Forbes Field left field wall and a few others that you visited here stay with me forever. Thanks for posting this video, it's bittersweet for sure. On an upside though, I went with my wife and our newborn son in June '08 to PNC Park, the Jimmy Stewart museum and the Pittsburgh Zoo. The Lord closed one window but opened another. God is good 🕆

Very sorry for your loss. I'm glad and impressed you allowed Pittsburgh to be a vehicle for your personal memories, both good and bad, and allowing it to help remember the good times with your brother. God Bless and always know Pittsburgh will welcome you with open arms and the symbolic hug all of us need from time to time

I graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2021 and moved to San Diego, CA for my first job. Pittsburgh has such a feeling for me that I can never expect in Southern California. Even the residential area designs feel so different than those in California. It was a pity that the last years of my student life was in pandemic and I didn’t get many chances to visit interesting places in Pittsburgh. I’m planning to join my graduation commencement in May this year (CMU allows class of 2021 to delay commencement during pandemic) and hopefully I’ll get a chance to feel the city again.

I want to go to CMU. I don’t know how anyone affords it.
@aristonal3 жыл бұрын
@@WyattTheGreatX97 if you are not targeting computer science major then there are lots of colleges way better than CMU, many of which are public schools and you may be paying less for tuition as local residents. Though I don’t need to worry about money, there were also schools that I was pretty longing to like Berkeley and U of Washington that I wasn’t even able to get an admission due to unsuccessful high school experience. Now I feel that there are always something that we are longing to but we are not able to make it. That is life. You know what.. I’m a visa holder right now and I’m even worried about immigration status and green card. I assume that you are a US citizen, and you don’t need to worry about whether you may lose your job tomorrow because your visa were terminated somehow 🙃 Going to other colleges may even resulting in more colorful life for you. That is life, where you’ll always find it interesting when you have to take another path.

The one thing I learned from this video is that finding a parking spot in Pittsburgh is not always easy :-) I spent a couple of days in Steeler Town years ago, had a massive breakfast at De Luca's, saw the Science Center and had dinner somewhere near the top of the incline railway--what a view! I have traveled all over United States but never feel at home unless I'm in Pittsburgh. You got around quite a bit and saw a lot of unique places. Pittsburgh is not an easy city to get around in and that is one of the things I like about it. There are some musem steel factories you could visit. In Oakland there is a musem with prehistoric fossils and that type of artifacts in it, one of the best in the country. The Polio vaccine was developed in Pittsburgh by Dr. Jonas Salk. Really enjoyed watching this vlog.
