Many extroverts still don’t understand that concept and many think it’s just an excuse. Further complicating matters is the real and true issue of loneliness among people, who actually do desire companionship but because of increasingly competitive economic system and social structure it’s difficult to maintain relationships.

Totally agreed. When I was in the military I always liked to travel alone when we were visiting other countries. It was such a drag having to travel with a group where one guy wanted to do this, another that, plus I don't drink so no point in rotting away in some bar getting shyte faced. I prefer my own pace and do things when I want and what I want. In that aspect Japan is great for the solo traveler in my opinion. There are so many fun things to do and see, and you don't need anyone else to do them with.

I'm +30 and even from when I was a kid I dreamed of traveling wherever I want, alone. To be free. Right now I am still living my childhood dream. I can assure you you won't regret it if you do thesame. You're the boss of the world and your life. I don't understand people who settle after they're graduated and have kids and getting married. They're missing the best thing in life ever, which is life. My colleagues envy me in a good way and wish they could do thesame. They ask me if I am rich or something while they earn way more money than I do. They can't live thesame life as I do because they have obligations like children, are married and/or have a bunch of unnecessary bills to pay. I don't have these thing and I never want them because they cause me brain clutter and an empty wallet/bank account. Instead I have the world and my friends. I love to travel alone, and I am never lonely. Go for it. You can do it and you won't regret it.

@@noteman316 thank you, I love it so much when I can inspire people with topics like this. I would love to know how you are doing and how you are living, even if it would cost you 10 years. Take your time, don't rush and please listen to yourself. You can listen to advise from other people but never listen if they tell you how you should live your life. They don't know your needs, they don't know your lifestyle, they don't know what you can handle mentally and physically,... although that is what they believe, they think they're a know-it-al and everyone must love living like they do, boy they are so wrong. And regarding advise, ask the right people for advise. You don't go to a cat person with the question of how to raise a dog. She will obviously tell you you shouldn't get a dog but a cat or 3!

Many mentioned it already but the cinematography work is impressive. What I think is the most impressive is how you think about recording some shots. As someone who records and edits videos myself, I often forget to record simple things just because I do not dare or view them as useless when it clearly adds up some quality into a video and care. I feel almost grateful for having seen this video, thank you for spending so much time and effort on this project. I’m also planning on going to China for a year by myself, I just have to get my visa and I’ll go. I can’t wait to be by myself.

Wow! That is so brave of you to travel alone in japan! I've heard some scary stories about japan and how it's not a safe place to be in alone. Jokes aside, I'm glad you are safe and okay!

Did the group travel thing in college plenty of time and it fell apart nearly every single time. Usually because one person wanted to be in charge no matter what, several others just wanted to be intoxicated constantly. Traveling solo you're on your own schedule, which is nice.

Traveling alone while doing all that camera movements must be tedious. Props to you! ✅ Editing ✅ Cinematography Watching this made me miss traveling alone too. Also did a solo travel from Osaka to Kyoto before, it was the best feeling ever. Also I travelled to Hong Kong & Macau for week and my last solo travel abroad was Taiwan back in 2018. Can't wait to do it again soon.

1:48 it clicked to me that traveling alone, for this shoot you had to leave your equipment on the train, get out, return for it, set it up outside, return in the train and then record yourself again exiting out of the train.. bruuuuuuh, damn son that's some wild commitment.

Going to Japan in October of this year. I have been to other countries before but Japan will be my first country travelling alone. This gives me a big stupid smile across my face and hope I'll be able to make my stay a memorable one.
