ELIGIBLE PASSENGERS UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 20, 2021: According to guidance from the Bureau of Immigration (BI), if you fall under any of the 4 categories then you're allowed to enter the Philippines, subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry, until further notice: 1. Foreign nationals with valid and existing visas at the time of entry. 2. Foreign nationals allowed entry under the Balikbayan Program (RA6788), provided they are nationals from non-visa-required countries under Executive Order 408: 3. Former Filipino citizens, together with their foreign spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with the former Filipino citizens; and 4. Filipino citizens’ spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with the Filipino citizen. Foreign nationals who are holders of valid and existing Special Resident Retiree’s Visas (SRRV) may be allowed entry without the need for an Entry Exemption Document (EED). Foreign nationals who are holders of valid and existing 9(a) or Temporary Visitor’s Visas, provided they present, upon arrival, an EED issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), except for foreign spouses, parent/s, and/or children of Filipino citizens with valid 9(a) visas who are allowed entry to the Philippines without the need of an EED as of August 1, 2021, per IATF Resolution 128

Thank you for the additional information. I am a former naturalized (not by birth) Filipino citizen and now a US citizen. I have my expired Filipino passport. Based on this information you provided in bullet number 3 it appears I am allowed to enter the Philippines? I’m not sure if I fall under number 2 or number 3.

Hi Ivan! I remember watching all of your videos before I flew out of California in July. Been binge watching your vlogs from your LAX-MNL flight to when you guys flew back here in the US. You have been extremely helpful. Very articulate and all the things you said were concise! To anyone who has been planning to go to the Philippines, this is really not the time. I spent 10 days in a hotel quarantine and 4 days in a horrible lockdown as my subdivision in Cavite caught the Delta variant. By the time I went out and met up with a friend, I got sick and thought I had already been infected with COVID. It's not wise to spend a few thousand dollars to go to the Philippines seriously, even if we're vaccinated. Protektahan ang sarili. Sobrang hirap magkasakit at ilagay sa panganib ang mga kapamilya sa Pinas. Ang hirap pa naman mabakunahan doon. Stay safe mga kababayan. Patnubayan tayo ng Panginoon saan man mapunta!

@@JustletmebeME so I've been trying to plan my trip for November because her birthday and our anniversary is then. I know that Manila is going on lock down soon so I'm not sure if I'm able to fly for awhile. So really I'm aiming for either December or sometime next year. Id say maybe try next year. Hopefully we'll have control over this virus.. Now if your girlfriend was to fly to the Philippines, she would have to book a hotel for quarantine for 5-10 days(or more) depending on whether she lives in a green country, but because we both live in America, it is red at the moment. Once she books her hotel, I'm not sure if anyone is allowed to visit her because she's undergoing quarantine. Not even she's able to leave until after her covid test on the fifth or 7th day. If she's tested negative, she's free to leave. Just make sure she has here passport and visa. I just found out that I need a visa to travel to the Philippines because back then us citizens didn't need a visa for the Philippines if you're staying less than 30 days. Sorry for the long reply, I just have a lot to say 😅

You should state that ONLY people who meet the three criteria you listed can enter. You need a Visa 9a to enter the Philippines as a US citizen., and you won't get one unless you are a: -Foreign spouses of Filipino nationals; -Foreign minor children and foreign children with special needs (regardless of age), of Filipino nationals; -Foreign parents of minor Filipino children and foreign parents of Filipino children with special needs (regardless of age).

@@nm85418 Hi Neil, unfortunately he's not able to travel. As per PAL (Philippine Airlines), non-Filipino travelers are not permitted to enter the country. You are allowed to enter Ph, if you still have your PH passport. You can also submit a letter to your nearest PH Embassy or consulate since your parent is a Filipino. Hoping for your father's fast recovery.

wow, they have you jump through so many hoops to get there, why would you go there now under a lockdown? Nothing to do as a tourist and have to pay full price for a hotel while you are under a lockdown. I know this is how it will be for the next three+ years traveling anywhere in Asia, it's just sad how much money Asian countries are losing and businesses are closing down for good at record numbers. Yes, you cannot leave your room. Someone will just knock on your door for your swab test on your 7th day and will take it from there. Based from our hotel experience they will not clean your room until youre out.

Hello thanks for the video I would like to add some things . I just got my visa approved to travel from Riyadh Saudi arabia to the Philippines here's what embassy ask me 1. Marriage certificate 2. Barangay certification with my house details 3 . My wife drivers license 4. Tickets 5. Hotel booking 6. Invitation letter from my wife All that Must be sent via email to the visa officer in the embassy then will be forwarded to the Philippines DFA after you get approved you will be scheduled for to go to embassy and get your visa validity maximum 3 months as they told me . Also they advised me that in immigration you need to present all the papers you submitted to the embassy to them

I would like to add that in order to get compion in your hotel you need to send some documents below is thier actual email sent to me. How ever I have contacted my hotel and they informed me to send the email to department of quarantine and put hotel CC . Below is the actual email from department of quarantine: Good day, Regarding your concern, you need to provide the following requirements: 1. Negative RT-PCR SWAB TEST RESULT within 72 hours 2. Why not get rtpcr test before traveling and choose an airline that required rt pcr test so we can prevent transmission of the virus when everyone is already negative on rtpcr instead of having rtpcr test upon arrival

I am a US citizen who wants to visit Philippines .... I went to Philippine consulate in Los Angeles and inquired regarding visa & some info..... it was a battle just to ask basic questions . They gave me a link to check with regards to my questions . I followed the link and unfortunately / obviously the link was unresponsive. Finally the Nigerian Security at the front gave me a number to call. Man you didn't do any research for this vlog as a American you cannot enter the Philippines without a 9a visa pre approved by the Philippine embassy in the USA. and you have to married to a Filipina The visa takes up to 2 weeks to get and there is various documents thats needed to get that visa if your gonna make a video about traveling take some time to research your topic..
