The shoe story, as Angelina told it in her book (youngest published author ever in Norway) was she was in Africa and she met a little girl her age who was not wearing shoes. Angelina asked why and the girl said she couldn't afford them. So Angelina gave the girl her own shoes to wear and promised her that whenever she performs she would go barefoot to remind people that there are those in the world who cannot afford shoes.

Dear Ladies, Angelina Jordan was and still is protected by her family against the sharks of the international music industry. She is well known in Seoul/Korea and asia because she sang there in front of an audience of 40.000+ people for a charity. I think the answer is.... it's coming right from the depths of her soul. The passion she puts into the songs she sings... This is not something you can just learn to 'perform'. This is something you have to be born with, something coming from within. She doesn't just sing the song. She feels the song, and then explains those feelings to us through her voice. A great question and as of this date, the anticipation is building for her upcoming album which promises to be mostly, if not all, original songs. Angelina has performed 4 original songs to date, What is Life, Oslo, Shield and Million Miles. Republic Records has been setting up a world wide promotion for her album and I am willing to wager her career will explode. This is an Angelina trademark performance. At the beginning she hands the production director score changes. She commands the studio completely. Initially the musicians who were invited were apprehensive but fully understood that the end product was something amazingly special. They call Angelina "The Boss". I know you’re new to Angelina, but you need to understand (if you don’t know now) that she is one of the best singers in the world. She is my all-time favorite singer, and I’ve listened to music actively from the 1950’s. No one comes close. Angelina covers a very wide range of styles, but jazz and blues are in her bones and that music gives her the freedom to use her incredible vocal talents fully. She has well over 100 videos on KZbin. She won Norway’s Got Talent (her home country) at 8 years old- not a children’s show, but competing against all contestants. To get an idea of her abilities, try her cover of an Adele song: either A Million Years Ago, or Someone Like You. Angelina is the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard, and her voice is mesmerizing, as you saw with Bohemian Rhapsody. She does her own arranging, and she gives us covers of many singers that will make you forget the original versions. She just turned fifteen, and issued one of her own compositions: Million Miles. It’s a beautiful memorial dedicated to her grandfather, showing her maturity as a musician and lyricist-and you’ll see how beautifully her magical voice has developed in only a few years. I can see already that you’re going to be devoted fans. You just don’t know yet that you have cracked opened a door that you will find impossible to close.

She's from Norway. She gave her her shoes (this at 6, probably in Iran, and probably speaking Farsi). She said she loved those green boots. Angelina vowed she would always perform without shoes to remind her audiences that there are children in need. She has done a lot of charity work for children. She wrote a children's book about it and became the youngest published author in Norway (her grandmother, an esteemed artist from Iran, who married a Japanese man, the grandfather she mourns in Million Miles, illustrated it). In it she says that when she gave away her boots it was like a door opened in her heart and there was a stairway to heaven. She remarks it was such a great thing, to something for someone else---all this from the diary of a six year old. As you can see, she's a lot more than a vocal genius (you might want to watch her tribute to her dear friend Avicii after he committed suicide). You'll notice she's consulting the lyrics. She arranged it too, and those are instructions to the orchestra she is writing out at the beginning. She can get right into the soul of a song. She's sung in Seoul and Tokyo, Germany, the US, for Nobel Laureate Malawa, and so much more. She just turned 15.

Angelina was not writing to anyone, she was writing her own arrangement for part of the song and she always rewrites the lyrics that are not age appropriate for her age. She was 9 here and she is currently (2021) 14 years of age. When Angelina met the young girl without shoes, selling wares at the market, the girl admired Angelina's shoes - so Angelina took them off and gave them to her. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor one day and asked Angelina to pray for her. Angelina said she would not wear shoes ever, again, until all children in the world, have shoes......the is why she is "a bare foot Princess". She is also an animal activist and a fighter for the environment. Angelina is so many things in that small talented body. She is incredible.

The story about the Barefeet was that Angelina was in Iran I believe that’s where her grandmother is from, when she saw a young girl who was a street vendor. The girl had no shoes and was looking at Angelina‘s shoes and said she liked them. Angelina then took them off and gave them to her. Then she made up her mind that she would bring public awareness to the fact there’s still many children in the world who do not have the simple necessity of shoes.

Loved the reaction, You got me so excited to want to tell you so much more about Angelina but I am going to ask Rusty Shackleford to post his great bio on Angelina and a list of all her videos in chronological order. Some reactors use that method ~(in time order) others don't but as you have now just reacted to this amazing performance I would urge you to go to when she was even younger and the 4 performances from age 7 & 8 which won her the Norways Got Talent contest. She is also very well known and respected for having a 1000 voices in so much as you have now seen her version of Bohemian Rhapsody and this one which are 2 very different examples of her skills but as someone else has posted you aint seen nothing yet. Don't be surprised to find another video you think is even better. There are over 130 for you to get reacting to so please please don't leave it as long. And also, you mentioned the view for your first Angelina reaction, do you realise they are just short of 150, 000 now.? You have never had that many views. Grandmother Mery, who is also a prodigy artist and poet played jazz records from the time Angelina was born as you will see in her performances at 7-8 on Norway's Got Talent, which she won. Angelina from the age of 3 would search the net for Billie Holiday and various jazz artists. How do we know all of this about her? It's all on video!! She is definitely a musical genius who can interpret and arrange songs to compel one to listen. You ain't seen nothing yet. "Feeling Good" Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake is even more amazing at 10 years old with her own rendition. She always chooses and arranges all of her songs since 8 yo. Also, please see her Tom Jones version of "I Who Have Nothing" at 6 yo in a school studio...stunning. Grandma has put together a complete video diary of this wonderful child and has shared it with the world. We get the rare opportunity to watch her progression from toddler to present. A real gift. Ladies, when she was interviewed before Norway's Got Talent when she was 7, Angelina cited Billie Holiday, Shirley Bassey and Louis Armstrong among her favourite singers. This alone made me sit up and pay attention. Then she's in Norway, a country I know little about but one I perhaps unfairly never regarded as likely to produce a notable jazz performer of any age. And she's planning to audition with Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday; a dirge reputed to have inspired several suicides that was banned by the BBC for decades. "Whose idea was that?" I thought. A few minutes later and this snaggletoothed kid had confounded my every expectation. By the time I had watched all four NGT performances, my former stoicism was spread amongst about a dozen scrunched up tissues. Could she sing? Why else would she have been there? But she did more than sing. And she continues to do what she does regardless of subject matter, whether she can relate to the words coming from her lips or, indeed, whether she has even seen some of the words before. Her most dedicated fans appear to be a couple of generations or more senior to her; a fact she has proven to me is not solely because her material is largely from a bygone era. Somebody needs to get her songs played on an ad or as the soundtrack to a charity campaign or TV drama to get her voice out there because I fear traditional channels combined with her wholesome image aren't going to shoot her skywards. A few months ago I might have said she is where she wants to be but she's signed with a major player for a reason.

She is changing the music to match how she hears it in her head. That is the conductor who is used to having her do this. Angelina has been in charge of her music since she was little. I know she is only 9 here, but Angelina has been doing her own arrangements for awhile. Which ever band she works with they use her nick-name, they call her 'The Boss' but they mean it in the most affectionate way. She laughs and jokes around but when it comes to Her music they all show her the respect she deserves. She also will have it her way and she will spend as much time as it takes to make sure everybody gets it right. It all sounds like everything is set up for her to become a Diva but she has her family to ground her. It worked, Angelina is the sweetest and most humble SuperStar in waiting you will find. After carrying on a conversation with the little girl, she actually removed her shoes (her favorite pair) and gave them to the her. Angelina has vowed to never wear shoes while performing in public, until All the children of the world have shoes, and she has never varied, not once, from that vow she made at 6 years of age. At 9 she wrote the book “Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts)” and became the youngest author in Norway's history. Her mother didn’t want her to get too overwhelmed in the music world at such a young age, so made the decision to keep her out of the limelight after winning NGT. I've been waiting for this one since you did Bohemian Rhapsody. Perfect reaction. Please do either her Norway's Got Talent performances - particularly Gloomy Sunday audition and Summertime finale - or Feeling Good next. Feeling Good will give you every bit as much an electric shock as this. There are two versions one indoors, one outdoors, both exceptional but if I was forced at gunpoint I'd pick the outdoor one. If your not facing that present dilemma do both and watch that one last. Her Grandmother played jazz for her probably before she took her first breath. Her family has kept her from the World Recording Industry clutches until she was ready to meet it face to face. I'm so glad they waited, to give her a chance to be a child and go to school with other normal kids doing normal kid things. She just turned 9 when this was recorded. Actually, the girl complimented Angelina's favorite pair of shoes that she was wearing and Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. Then at 6, when it happened she vowed to always perform barefoot until every child in the world has shoes. She was writing changes in the music as she does all her own musical arrangements.

Let’s analyze the video: 1st you see how small and cute she is. 2nd you see she is barefoot (story below) 3rd You see her making her “list of suggested changes” to the song. 4th the band leader taking note of the changes. 5th Angelina is holding a candle with “Screemin’ Jay Hawkin’s (original artist 1956) picture on it. 6th the old soul in her voice. She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All book proceeds go to charity.

I saw the interview from the music producer asking him about the notes Angelina had given him. He said he smiled because it was the most polite for request in song arrangements that he had ever received and that is why he smiled. He wasn't very explicit to what her request were but indicated that she wanted to ascend the horns and have the bass, drums and piano decended and be more of a base to the song. She probably felt her voice would stand out more with those changes.

I think her first international performance was on Norway's Got talent; she sang "Blue Sunday" a Billie Holiday cover. She was only 7 years old and her old soul was shining through!

Her mum once said, Angie always decides on her own what she wants to sing and how. She developed a love for jazz very early on. She watched talent shows with Simon Cowell and set her mind to sing for Simon. At age of 7 she auditioned at Norways Got Talent and utterly shocked the judges.
