Also did an A321NEO from ORD to MCO and back. LOVE the plane. I really wish United would get rid of the flight attendant call button from the touch screen. Kids were hitting that button all flight and the FA's were getting annoyed.

It's interesting how JetBlue has had all these perks and features for over a decade. But now that United is adding a pantry, they're being portrayed as "re-inventing" the business. I'm not saying you're claiming that, but other articles have definitely stated it. Another example would be free onboard wifi, which JetBlue has also had since December 2013. Delta recently announced free wifi, and it was also advertised as revolutionary. Anyways, United is my favorite legacy airline, so I'm glad they're adding all these extra features. Thanks for the review!

NEXT is a very fitting name for their project. Just when you expect them to settle on a design, there’s always a next version of NEXT with incremental improvements over previous versions of NEXT. Examples are the new first class seats, USB-C ports which are not found on NEXT MAXes in economy or earlier MAX8 planes in first class, blue economy plus seats which replaced purple seats, the entertainment screens on the A321 are slightly revised compared to MAX and retrofits since it has an additional mini-display, and United is expecting an upcoming OLED screen design.

@@sebastiannielson1952 Delta isn’t consistent either. Their domestic fleet has 3 versions of first class, 2 versions of economy seats, and 2 versions of IFE hardware. Once you factor in long haul planes, Delta becomes even less consistent than United, because all of United’s long haul have Polaris while some of Delta’s A350s, A330s and 767s have older seats.

You can tell Kirby is trying to get United to be the best of the best for U.S. carriers. I’ll never forget watching your video when Kirby became CEO and your nerves for United. What do you think about United rolling out free starlink high speed WiFi?

He and United keep surprising me. I admit he's doing the opposite of what I feared. Starlink would be great, and free? That would be a real gamechanger. It would definitely encourage me to fly United over American for sure.

United does not use the same seat on the max and Neo. Seat in the Neo is larger, which can be seen when comparing the IFE screen, given it is larger on the Neo and contains a separate clock for time remaining in the flight on the bottom, which does not appear in the max

Towards the end, it’s not a vending machine but a self serve snack bar. Which the crew didn’t bother to even set up!

I’m sure they’d love to! The problem is, the backlog for the A321neo is over 5,000 planes. If you place an order for new planes, Airbus likely won’t get to delivering them until the 2030s. United will just do what it can to jump the line or buy out someone else’s order.

The seat is nice, but I would rather fly a boring product that can get me to my destination on time. When you arrive after midnight, that delay hurts

Because of where I live, I fly United, both Express and mainline fairly frequently, with Southwest as my second most flown airline. It looks great, but I can't help wonder if it's just putting lipstick on a pig. Southwest arguably has a worse hard product but the service is always consistently good. On United, no matter how nice - or crummy - the plane is, the service always seems to be consistently meh. The worst Southwest crews I've had are sort of similar to the average United crew. Or possibly dealing with a large airline - any large airline - over the past few years has left me cynical.

@briangasser973 Crew is a bad word. Employees is what I should have said. Everyone at Southwest from check in, to gate agents, and yes the FAs just seem more personable than at United.
