I just wanted to chime in and say thank you, Laurie. As a TSA officer, one of the things I hate having to do is have passengers surrender items that exceed 3.4 ounces. Please folks, just transfer important creams into a 3.4 ounce container. It's better to spend two dollars at Target for a container than to have to surrender a twenty or thirty dollar facial cream or lotion.

A few years ago my dad was stopped at the Cancun airport and prohibited from bringing a ping pong paddle in his carryon. A flipping ping pong paddle. He had to check it because it was considered a weapon. Hashtag: Worst weapon EVER. (He likes to play ping pong at our resort. He’s pretty good and he has his own paddle, and he didn’t want to lose it.) The world has gone crazy.

My husband had to check and double check about transporting his new light saber he built at Disneyland, as a carryon. They ended up allowing it as his personal item, but it had to be kept in the bag provided by Disney when he made it and the hilt and light up "blade" had to be disconnected. It was a silly thing, but even pretend "weapons" are taken very seriously.

It does get you pulled over though! On two occasions we forgot to check that our kids had emptied their school-backpacks properly before travel. They were stopped for a check of their carry-ons and a pair of school scissors turned up! They were measured with a measuring tape and we got to keep them, but as soon as they see scissors on their screen they will check. (Which is good)

@@katrinastewart5456 I fly about every 30-90 days and I have never been stopped by TSA for my little scissors. Ever.

What about aaa and aa batteries? Thanks

They are fine in the belly, but I would keep them in carry-on bags.

Laurie I am traveling to Malaysia in 3 weeks from the USA and I am diabetic that uses insulin injections. I have not flown since 1995. Can you please help me with this process so I can get through quickly and safely. It’s my honeymoon and I really don’t want to jeopardize the trip in any way.

...With thissssssssssss, I can't wait to fly again🤗. . . Few years ago, my extra cellphone battery in a mini plastic box with my Middle East and Philippines sim card was captured in South Korea airport because i placed in my checked in luggage. . .i was asked to go back (by train) and claim but its' already boarding time so i didn't😣. . . When i arrived in the Philippines from the USA trip, i noticed one of my 2 checked in luggage was opened. . .found a note from the USA airport that they opened for inspection something. . .and i guess its' because of the fridge magnetsssssssssssssssssssssss (yes! lots and lots of magnets😅) i bought from the US states and places i visited😅. . . Same with Saudi Arabia airport, i was asked to open my checked in luggage because they saw something ----> its' the fridge magnetsssssss for my co workers😅...
