Hello Lauri great advice about TSA preparation for body checks. One thing I highly disapprove of is touching other people's bag or hand luggage. One incident that has been in the int'l news that an old lady asked a fellow pax to help with her bags. Unfortunately the person's fingerprints already embedded in her hand carry bag bec. he helped her & so happened that this old lady has an agenda of using this Samaritan's help to pinned him on something. Her proof...his fingerprints. So not good advice on that one. YOUR LUGGAGE...YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If someone needs help ask the crew for help NOT fellow pax. I hope this help to be cautious on dealing with people on the plane.

One idea is a sacrificial wallet with expired cards, fake cards and IDs., to be on hand for the most egregious thieves who demand your wallet in a tight situation. Let them try to use it and they'll find out they've got useless cards despite appearing to be current.

The truth is, these bags were all overpriced. Now that we know they cost a fraction of the sale price and are so poorly made, it’s clear they weren’t worth it. Furthermore, many of these items are knockoffs. There are a lot of knockoffs out there at kislux knockoffs of such good quality that they’re no longer luxury items.

Maybe make a copy too. Most people lose their phone and passport.

Apple no longer carries the trifold charger for airpods, iphones and Apple watches. They do have an alternative available. I love, love, love your content. I travel a lot (can’t do a carry on for trips, tho) and do many of the things you suggest. You can always teach an old dog new tricks! Keep up the great work!

I recommend Darn tough or Smartwool socks and Drysol is a prescription antiperspirant that I use on my feet when I ski so they don’t sweat and get cold. The buck naked and organic cotton underwear from Duluth trading are superb. They dry with your body heat when you sweat. Thanks for the tips.

Actually baggage handlers say no ribbons etc tied to handle as they can get caught. Amazon has some inexpensive stretchy luggage covers. They help you recognize your luggage and protects it a bit.

Hoodie, love them for flights, unzip if too hot, put the hood on if too cold, tie around the waste if wanted. Large scarf, if cold use as a blanket. I always take a down vest if my destination has cold weather, super light, compacted and with a scarf you’ll be warm.
