As a Dane and an often visitor to our now fully Danish owned, Designed and built, "Danish Village" and Vacation Area, a little further along the coast, we once a week walk over the fields up to Mellieha Town from our Park, and normally ends up in front of the Church before having something to drink. So I have walked around there many times, as a part of those! As now 76 and with a not so fit and handicapped wife, I doubt we will come down again, so it is nice to have this film! By the way, our now late Danish Architect, building the Park, also designed and built the nearby "Popeye Village"! The Film Set for the Disney, Robin Williams Film, about the spinach eating sailor! And we also have a Tunnel below the road in front, directly to the beach from our area, which is automatically closed with gates in the evening!

Loved Mellieha when we visited in 2022 great video this that brings back many memories will definitely look at getting back there someday soon!

Thank you for all the lovely videos, we are coming to Mellieha June 2025 staying at the Maritim Antonine Hotel and Spa, is it possible to travel to all the different places from where we are located as we like to visit the different towns and cities, i know there is a bus stop outside our hotel but not sure where we can go to by bus and whether going these places are achievable, thanks if you can help me xx

Hi Emily.....The bus service in Malta is very good with regular connections to most places on the island. There's a bus stop just a few metres down the hill from your hotel as you said which provides regular links to Valleta, St Paul's Bay and Mosta , buses 41 and 42 are the best for these places. A more local route is the 221 which will take you to Buggiba and Qawra. Route 222 is the best route to get to St. Juliens and Sliema. You will need to change connections for other places on the island such as the beautiful city of Mdina for example. The Malta Public Transport website is a good way to plan any trips especially if you need to make connections. There's also a bus stop opposite the one near your hotel which you can use to get you to the beach in Mellieha Bay at the bottom of the hill. This stop is also handy if need to visit Gozo as it caters for buses going to the ferry terminal in Cirkewwa.
