You should definitely come to Mendoza again when the weather is better as the amazing views of the Andes is one of the best things about visiting Mendoza. Today, for example, is very sunny and the you can see the white mountains crystal clear. I'm not originally from Mendoza but I came here for the first time back in 2021 and inmediately felt in love and stayed.

It is so nice to hear that your contact with Mendoza and its warm people made you rethink the direction of your videos to include more of the local people's stories. I think that is the best of trips. I am originally from Buenos Aires but I settled in Mendoza 30 years ago and just fell in love with the calm pace and the look of the Andes range...you unfortunately missed it. Next time we promise sun and the bluest sky.

Wow, this is surreal to see you rebrand your channel! I was watching and interacting with Cafe Con Leche for a while, as we considered Merida. We LOVE Mendoza and spent six months here in 2023 and another six this year (2024). Unfortunately, we now have to leave (since it got way cold and I got a gig in Napa). You found the short period of cold and wet out of the last eight months. It's been blue and perfect most of the time. Gorgeous mountain views from the bike paths and vineyards. Come back in March-May. We have decided to spend half the year here foing forward.

@@TravelWTravis It's pretty darn good. The peso has just regained about 20% when purchased with $USD. Both in cash (aka 'dolar blue') and on credit card (MEP rate). 1300 pesos to the dollar today, meaning our costs are less. I recommend getting out of MDZ city next time, and visit Lujan de Cuyo to the south. Agrelo (further by half an hour) and Valle de Uco are great locations for wine tastings. The Andes (referred to as the Cordillera, here) are stunning with fresh snow against a Colorado blue sky.

You seem to have quite a trip planned! You should check out the Iguazú falls in Misiones (not to retire, but it’s an amazing weekend trip) and look into Córdoba, just google it, it’s a very nice city surrounded by gorgeous natural landscapes, mountains, little alpine towns with snow during winter, beautiful rivers and streams. Similar vibes to Mendoza, but it’s a bit larger. Good luck on your adventure from BA!

I visit Mendoza regularly, and never get tired of it. As you only went for a weekend you missed a lot. Like going to Villavicencio, the Parque Aconcagua and the Plumerillo Historic camp, a museum of the place where José de San Martín prepared his army to cross the Andes and liberate first Chile and then Perú. You also should make time to go to the city of San Rafael and visit the Atuel. Better go in october/november

Thank you for visiting and the words about Mendoza. You were a bit unlucky with the weather ´cause it´s usually sunny, but it´s winter time now. Hope you come again, preferentially in September/October (our spring) or February/March (end of summer and wine harvest).

@@elperro3056local here. Prices did go up a bit, mainly food and utilities (electricity, gas, water, etc) but with 2000-2500 you’ll be fine. It’s not absurdly inexpensive as it used to be a year ago, but it’s not absurdly expensive either. I guess it also depends on how much rent you are planning to pay, in puerto madero you won’t find anything for less than 1k (and that’s already hard to find), but aside from puerto madero you will find very decent apartments for 500 bucks in nice neighborhoods.

Let me correct you a little bit: mendoza is located on the West CENTRAL part of argentina. You said NORTH west: you will find Salta and Jujuy there, which have a totally different landscape and food industry. Flight to Bs As to Mendoza: it is just one hour, not two as you said. And flights can be way cheaper than that. Also important about your “expectations vs reality” :Well you can expect wine and good sunshine all year long EXCEPT in winter dude!! That is just basic common sense. Hope you can up the culture game AND your videos
