It's not the like the car was hacked up for a wide body kit. Painted leather is far different from steel. If you think paint is difficult then you clearly have never restored a car in your life. Replacing rotted trunks and floor pans is hard. Removing a wrap is not. If the guy was that worried about the car he wouldn't have sold it at a massive profit for 200k. Then he gets to make money off the story.

Honestly one of my least favorite interviews on VW, I've been to Enthusiast auto, a very cool dealership, but how can you complain about what someone does to a car after YOU SOLD it to them. At least the car is getting attention and has been modified to what the owner wants. It was one of a kind before and it's one of a kind now. For anyone wondering, it was wrapped that is not a custom paint job. Also from what I could find the only mods done were the rally fogs and the gold rims. So yeah pretty lax for "desecration". They also added a little ducktail to the rear spoiler.

Incorrect. It was painted. All of the writing / graphics on the car were also painted. The work was done by West Coast Customs. They also threw out probably one of the lowest mileage cardinal red E30 M3 interiors in existence in exchange for a custom upholstered interior.
