In 1921 people dreamed of leaving the countryside and moving to "the city". 100 years later America's cities are filled with broken people and broken promises, while the countryside and the people who inhabit it, have never looked more beautiful.

First and foremost, Travis Tritt has always been my favorite country singer. Singer, songwriter and an excellent guitar player. This man/artist should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. If you get a chance to see him live, do it. You will not be disappointed. It's a sad reminder that in the USA you are judged on your words about telling people how much you love this country. I am not woke, I am awake to what's happening. Apparently, so is he.

Travis, I wish I could shake your hand and thank you in person for creating the best music this ‘ole world over has ever heard. I feel so sorry for anyone who hasn’t heard your heartfelt voice! I wish that ‘ole Waylon could have been around to listen to the songs by you that he has never heard! I have cried many tears and my heart is broken because I live in assisted living and can’t get to see you sing in person. I am 80 years old and that has always been my unfulfilled wish. I know you won’t see this yourself but I wish you would come here to sing for all of us but I guess you can’t. So sad I will die and never have gotten to meet you and to hear your perfect “moves my heart to love people more” voice… Breaks my heart. We would be so encouraged to fight to live longer to hear more of your new songs as they come out! And Travis, since you won’t have the time to actually read this, I guess my wish will never come true because I am just a nobody who loves you and has a deep respect for you and your wonderful music. These people here, let alone me, will be greatly deprived not to have you here to grace us with your presence, and to sing for us. Oh well….

Perfect song for the times we are now living in. I never thought I would live to see the day a man/boy can kneel when old glory is flying. Travis killed it with this song.

Love Travis Tritt. The best part of Smoke in the Bar is when he sings the part about mama's right arm was the seat belt. I can relate to it..lol. can't wait to see you again in concert again. I saw your acoustic show in Dotha. Al

Great video and an awesome voice. Acknowledging a veteran, helping strangers change a flat... Travis Tritt is one of my heroes... about as real as an American Patriot can be. First time I've ever seen his wife and whatta ya know? She is gorgeous. Long live Travis Tritt and country music.

@Travis Tritt I almost got a little bit scared while looking through my KZbin 'recommended' stuff. The video was titled "The life and sad ending of Travis Tritt" (published, January 21st, 2021). I realize there are internet 'trolls' that try to invade/infest every aspect of decent American society, but this disturbed me enough to 'Report' to KZbin. After visiting this individuals channel, it becomes apparent how hateful these trolls can be. FYI, the channel is called 'Jeng Hung' or 'Heng Jung', or some foreign name like that... definitely not American. Don't weaken brother. How about y'all go for another ride where there is 'Smoke in a Bar'? I'm going to do that myself. Giddy up.

@Travis Tritt Nothing would make me happier, sir. Problem is, I don't have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media accounts PRECISELY because of the internet trolls. I got accused of being a 'John Wayne internet sherrif'. When I would see some trolls wounded feelings making nasty comments, I couldn't NOT SAY something. I tired of the nonsense and deleted the Facebook page. Y'all have a different way of privately talking? I have to take my truck in for serious service (beyond my abilities), so, I'll be getting my H-D touring bike out. Giddy up 😉.

Thank you Mr. Tritt, almost a year to the day, your C.D., Honkey Tonk History, got me through one of the worst heartbreaks of my life. That, the LORD, and my garage full of Harleys. I'll see you in the wind brother, hopefully at Sturgis! This song is EPIC. THANK YOU AGAIN. T.S. RACING
