Dude's got a crazy high IQ from what I remember, and as a fellow with a high IQ as well (no not flexing, I don't think it matters much, but for reference between 85-114 is average, above 130 is hella smart, and above 160 is exceedingly rare and flat out genius.) this is proof that in order to be real good at math, you have to be born with a specific type of mind, and sometimes even the smartest people absolutely hate it. I know I am something like 135 and I would guess Travis is anywhere between 135 and 145. I am in a great university studying computer science with a minor in music, I am very intelligent when it comes to all things music, acting, and general creative/art stuff, but the calculus that comes with computer science is the one thing I can't get down

@@upsidedownpyramid7617 So what you're saying is that, basically, math is everyone's least favourite subject? Good. That makes me happy.
@upsidedownpyramid7617 Жыл бұрын
@@justaghostinthesea Absolutely, I feel like to do something and be good at it, you have to be passionate, which is why it baffles me that mathematicians even exist. I understand that its the core of all sciences, but as a more creative brain, I simply don't understand how there are the select few that love it to death. I would love to take to the stars and colonize new planets, I am all about space and computers and all that nerdy shit, but I am in it for the fact that exploration enriches the mind and soul, the stairs that lead there are built of equations and proofs that I despise. I am making an attempt to really learn the language of math though, it can be tolerable, even fun, when you understand it. Humans hate things they can't grasp, but when they know that they can solve something, it becomes a mystery and a challenge. I would never play a video game that presents no challenge, but I also wouldn't play a game that is all solving equations. For some the equations are the game. I hope that made sense. Not everyone hates math, but most of us do because its taught poorly by most.

I respected CR for a long time. It got me and some friends back into D&D. Then rainbows, dudes painting their nails, and other “woke” bullshit. Pronouns and sly taint licking. The audience they grew are basically walking fertilizer for the crops of “tomorrow”, cuz they’re spiritually bereft and will be the first to go when the shit hits the fan. The 18+ section of those aforementioned “voted” for it. 100% unsubscribed and haven’t regretted it. Original point was, I thought better of Travis. He probably knew better but…vagina…and he made the mistake of putting a ring on it without a prenuptial agreement.

@@Priceluked “What I’m talking about” is a broad question. All I’m saying is that they started from humble beginnings. It was about playing the game. But LA, Wokeness, and $ happened and, now…now it’s not the same game. “An audience” is being catered too. The audience that earns them the most income. Mainstream news talking points being inserted into the narrative of a fantasy game and character interaction, (don’t forget they’re all actors), and it, ultimately, feels scripted now. Listen…my original post was just my way of saying play D&D, don’t make it about the trans/non-breeder, bs everyone is being fed. I get why they’re doing it. I don’t agree with it. Dress like a clown, cut your body parts off, fuck with your body chemistry…just keep it in your bedroom like everyone else. I used to watch episodes of Campaign 1 and, if it wasn’t overtly adult, I let my kids watch it because they really wanted to learn to play. Now…now I wouldn’t let them watch a nanosecond of w/e they’re doing. I’ve said more than I planned. If you still don’t understand then we can agree to disagree, respectfully. I’m not firing shots at anyone or you’d know it and the comment would’ve been deleted. I’m honest just saying that I loved their games as much as anyone for the basics but I FEEL it’s been commandeered. If you still like it, enjoy. But I’m done. I usually keep to myself. The night I made my original comment, I was riled up, in general, so I said what I said. It doesn’t need to be picked apart or parsed. I’m not judging individuals…I’m judging content.
