John has never collaborated with a guitarist anything less than spectacular. Steve Jones, Keith Levene, John McGeoch, Steve Vai, Lu Edmonds. The man has great taste.

@@piamadison5539 Robert Johnson was a legendary blues musician. He was not well known and died young. A lot of English rockers (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, etc) built their careers on his music. Lu says something about Johnson writing "Love in Vain."
@baronsaturday9529
@baronsaturday9529 3 жыл бұрын
Always inspiring.... And I kinda agree with what Lu and John say about NL. Better tv, better info/newspapers, more informed, etc... We always had objective news/facts, where GB seemed to go for the tabloid kinda pulp. And in the '60/70/80/90s there was VPRO tv (still do, but different) very left winged t.v. with great music programs with bands like The Pistols, Birthday Party, PIL, Patti Smith, The Cramps, Iggy, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, etc... Always controversial, never mediocre. The Pistols were taken very seriously by certain music magazines when they came out, I have some great interviews with Rotten from music magazine 'Oor'. They bundled the old ('70s) punk interviews and reviews in one great issue, amazing to read these interviews (from I believe his name was Peter van den Berg) with Rotten.. This was at the very start of punk, Rotten took him to his home where his little brothers had trashed the place the day before. Peter could flick thru his vinyl collection, there was a lot of reaggae, a great album from Neil Young, maybe some Krautrock, etc... Or Rotten left him with a big bill at some Indian restaurant in London.. Hahaha! Classic stuff. (There's also some footage here on YT from the Pistols at 'Mafcentrum' in Maasbree, priceless...)
