I, too, think he's wildly entertaining. Unfortunately, his social/political views -- to which he's certainly entitled -- can be oddly conflicting (e.g.,he's pro-working class but trashes the Labor Party). Broad-stroke soap-boxing ("this sucks, that sucks, buncha'c*nts..."), his "scorched earth" arguments have, at times, betrayed a Fox Nooze-ish bumper-sticker sentiment... which recently led him to metaphorically step on a prongs-up Trump-branded rake, which must've thwacked his frontal lobe pretty hard, because he was/is still...(?) a maga/trump backer. I'll momentarily give him the benefit of the doubt by suggesting a possible abducted & drugged scenario, but I dunno...jeesh. Nevertheless, his disarming wit and effortless command of the stage (both as a natural frontman as well as a pugnacious raconteur) has made Mr. Lydon a top draw in ant venue.

This was IMO when Lydon was at the peak of his powers. He looks great, sounded great, dressed well, had grown comfortably into his own skin...I always preferred PIL to the pistols anyway. I wasn't alive when they blew onto the scene, and it was all very political and very much a political statement rather than an emotional one (i'm sure for ppl who were there it was very emotional too). But PIL for me were infinitely more musically diverse and interesting. Love Johnny at this point in his career.
