Bro this is so good hahaha. I was dying with those meme edits. Also, I ended up getting a Tascam 424 mki (the light grey one) and I'm fixing it up. Thanks again for the inspiration to try analog recording!

I don't like country much, but that was a pretty cool tune! I like that you broke down some of the guitar parts as a bonus.

that's funny i have a video coming which is all about 'country for people who don't like country' haha. i'm glad you enjoyed the lesson Kirby!

Really enjoyed this video. Miss my old Tascam 388, wish i never sold it. I also really love your Vintage BF Vibrolux amp in this video. I have an old 1963 BF Princeton reverb and I think they are great at creating that older country twang that I love. I really liked all the cool little country music guitar playing tips! Well done! Ill check out the country Cook book you mentioned.

Im having same thing in my left ear rn. Trying Ayurvedic ear oil seems to help. Going to see some specialists soon and examining how stress, sleep, diet affects it. Always enjoy seeing your process. Happy Sunday

Great vid, Travis. Can you tell me how you are routing your click from Logic here in the video, is it going to channel of 388?
@travisraab4 ай бұрын
I probably just listened to the click and played drums to it and then the drums were the guide.
@thejasontlewis2 жыл бұрын
Double that acoustic and tuck it in a little. Acoustic in country songs is often more about percussion than tone!

can you elaborate why you hard pan left and right? i don't really understand @0:28

To segregate kick and snare
@carlosmpizzi2 жыл бұрын
Hey Travis, great videos, really hooked. Just wanted to know what you meant with the hard panned kick and snare trick for bleed. Didn't quite catch that one.
@travisraab2 жыл бұрын
Hi Carlos! Thanks. On some of the tascams you need to hard pan channels when recording otherwise they will bleed onto each other. But after you're done and they are segregated, you can pan them however you like
@carlosmpizzi2 жыл бұрын
@@travisraab Thanks! That's some weird stuff man, but hey, that's the analog experience, right? Just got myself a TEAC 80-8 recently and been trying to learn. Good job on the videos, and please keep 'em coming! (Especially the Barn episodes, wanna see more of those!)

Love your vids! Would you recommend the m30 or the 246 for a bedroom musician?
@travisraab2 жыл бұрын
good question jules. Well, the m30 has more flexibility and routing, more channels. The 246 is a 4 track cassette recorder. Very different machines
