My dad passed away almost 6 years ago and he absolutely 💯 LOVED THIS SONG!!!!!! My dad DID eventually become "somebody" in the wrestling industry and was able to bless so many families and give back to our home town. This is one of the greatest country artists ever to stand in front of a crowd. Another that didnt get the credit he deserved.. His voice is fantastic. Has the abiluty to blend rock.. Country... Blues... You name it. Hes a storyteller. He means what hes singing. And he makes people feel what hes sining. Just an amazing musician. Very inspirational. Id live to see him back and kicking ass again.

I was supposed to be going to a Steve Perry from Journey concert up at Lake Tahoe back in about 1994 or so, but Steve Perry cancelled and replaced by Travis Tritt. WOW! His voice was incredible, even when he sang acapella. Still one of my top 3 concerts.

One of the best memories I'll ever have in my life : My momma and I got 2nd row tickets to Travis in 1998 and it was Mothers Day and I had bought my mom a rose. She handed it to Travis while he was singing this song.

The first time I ever heard the chorus was when 3 people came into my convience store. When they came up to register I asked them what they were singing. They told me it was a song that they were writing. I told them that I liked it. A few years later I heard it on the radio in its finished product. Loved it then, love it now.

I remember back in 1991 going to an open mic night in mufreesboro, tennessee, jamming with travis. One of the most decent, respectful, down to earth, talented, upstanding, gentleman and musician song writing guys i have ever met and played with! And thats putting it lightly. God bless you travis, and that you for that experience! I have learned much in that short time, on what a person - real pwrson should be like. Thank you so much! I was the bass player for vern gosdin at that time.

Growing up with hardly anything and knowing how hard life can be. It can make one totally crumble from the pressure and weight of the world. Yet when I hear this song I stay motivated. Anytime I am depressed or so down on my luck so to speak. I will literally play this song and stay on course and keep on dreaming and trying in mife. I never want to go back to where I was, reason being is become I am somebody.
